Great teacher, super nice! He REALLY wants to be there and makes learning fun. Tells a lot of interesting stories, but he'll probably repeat them a few times. Drops your worst test/exam score. Study and you're good, equal parts notes and book. Be prepared to take lots of notes -- if you miss any, you can look them up on D2L. Very considerate.

Professor Wieden is such a great teacher! The class isn't easy but he's truly interested in his subject, he wants us to succeed, he's energetic, connects subjects together for better understanding. If you want to take geography I definitely recommend his class!

Pro. Wieden... what I say? The posters that are singing his praises are spot on. This teacher is not one to hand out an easy A, but man will you learn a lot in this class. I have NEVER before had an instructor that was so knowledgeable, student-friendly, and somehow managed to make a course like Weather interesting. Must take his class.

Incredible teacher. Somehow manages to get his students interested in things such as weathering and mass wasting processes and laughing along with him during his lectures. Incredibly passionate and helpful. Be prepared to actually STUDY and take pages of notes, but hey he makes it interesting!

I love this man!! He was beyond helpful the entire semester. I was having a hard time with all of the material that was covered and he always made his self available. He puts all his lectures online and records his voice, making it really easy to study at home.

Mr. Wieden is the best teacher I've ever had. He was very helpful and knowledgeable about the subject, as well as funny. I actually convinced my boyfriend to take this class next semester because it was such a great class and I learned so much. Really cares about his students and helps you to succeed. I absolutely loved professor Weiden! He is so passionate about what he does, more so than any other teacher I've had at DVC. If you show a genuine interest in the class and study the material, you will do well. Its not an easy A tho,it requires at least a couple hours per week of studying- nothing compared to other science classes ive taken.

Great professor. Probably the most passionate about what he is teaching of the professors I've had. He KNOWS science! He cares about the students. Wants to make sure everyone completely understands. He's the greatest teacher I've ever had in DVC. I took Geography 120. It's not an easy subject, but he will make it very interesting for you. You'll WANT to study on your own. He is a real man of science, and a noble man. The class is not hard at all, if you truly study for it. If you're planning to cheat or an easy A, not a class for you.

Mr.Wieden is one of the best teacher i have even had. His lectures are helpful and he will record the lecture and post online,so you can review it after class. You can learn a lot of things from his class. But his exam is hard, not a easy A. If you work hard and read the textbook after class, you will be fine. Take him if you like geography.

He is is a truly passionate teacher that enjoys his job and wants his students to do well. The semester I took the class it was online because he was a Dean and it was tough to learn online. However the optional study sessions before tests he was able to show how well he could teach 6 chapters in 3 hours and all the students did really well.
