Robin was a great prof! He was funny and made Canadian history enjoyable (a real feat). His class was pretty easy too, with quizzes instead of a midterm for the first half of the semester and only 2 small papers. I definitely recommend taking him!

Robin is a great prof. He's hilarious (puts memes in his slideshows!) and gives good feedback on essays and such. I wouldn't recommend taking his class if you're looking for an easy mark. He is a stickler for grammar so reread your papers and you will do better.

Best prof I've ever had! Gives awesome feedback on your papers, and gives a complete outline of what will be on the final exam. Quizzes for the first half of the semester instead of a midterm. Lots of reading, but in lieu of a textbook he uses interesting historical accounts. Always cracking dad jokes!

Nice guy, easy marker. group project is 20% of your grade, but it is impossible to fail. Gives a lot of primary docs to read in lieu of a textbook. Must show up to class to get a full knowledge of materials since the slides only show basic information. gives quizzes every week for the first half of classes. overall good prof.

Easily my favourite prof at UFV. Robin makes the course content interesting and encourages students to engage with the material in class. A bit of a tough maker. Students who usually excel in their classes can expect a B+ at most. You can tell he is really passionate about Canadian history and that results in a class that is fun and enjoyable.

Robin's a nice guy, by appearance. You'll get through his history courses no problem, but the thing is - if you want an A-A+, forget it. For our presentations, which were worth like 25% of our mark - he gave a bunch of us 7.5/10. He's nice, but expect a B - unless you do amazing on the essays, which are worth 40-45% of the grade.

Robin is phenomenal. I took History because I had to, and I'm so glad I took it with him! He's knowledgeable, hilarious, and very helpful. Do the readings, put effort into the papers, and you'll do just fine. I will definitely take more classes with Robin. He makes an 8:30 class on Monday morning worth it!

Everyone raves about Robin and I can see why. He's excellent at making a boring subject interesting. However, I do have to say that his instructions on the group presentation were quite unclear. He asked for something creative (as opposed to a regular powerpoint), but then he was dissatisfied with the presentations while watching them.... hmm...

I was terrified to take a 3 hour history class at 8:30am. But Robin is so animated and great to listen to that it was no problem! I learned SO MUCH and enjoyed every class. Had no idea I liked history. Robin is an amazing teacher. Do the readings, especially the coursepack ones. Take notes! It took a lot of effort to get an A, but it was worth it.

I highly recommend taking a class with Robin, simply for the fact that he is one of the best & most intelligent history profs at UFV. He's a riot in class, will definitely keep you interested and laughing. Hard marker, expects very good writing so give extra attention to papers. Very helpful, very approachable, one of my favorite profs ever!

Robin is hilarious. He makes every class very interesting and the final project he assigns is a tableaux. If you've seen Anchorman, think Brick Tamland (the weather man) and you have Robin Anderson. He is great and truly made History a bit more interesting. He's a fair marker and gives lots of help on exam prep.
