I love Rockney! Definitely one of my favourite professors. He explains things well, he's hilarious and he keeps class interesting. He doesn't have a lot of assignments so you really have to work hard because there aren't a whole lot of chances to pull your mark up (40% final, a paper worth 35% and a midterm worth 25% for example).

A brilliant communicator - engaging, interesting, clear, concise, funny, etc. Cares about his students and will help them - he even came out for beers with us after the exam. Razor sharp analytic mind. Fair marker. Take one of his classes.

he made his course pack after he prepped his lectures, so everything in the coursepack is relevant to the course, which is nice. he's got a blunt sense of humour (some would say) but I loved it personally heh. do not take his course if you are not open minded towards rational thinking.

Rockney is soo funny. He's very clear in his lectures. Very helpful. He has very clear expectations for asignments. You have to attend his lectures if you want to get his notes because he posts nothing.

As a guy, funny, nice and seemly caring. As a prof, talks way to much, making information a bit mixed up and confusing.

loved the class, thought it was great. I found the marking remarkably high. Of course it helps if you have a mind for the whole philosophy thing. Never did the reading, it really doesn't contribute to the class at all.

Currently enrolled in a graduate program regarded as more prestigious than WLU's (cough Queen's cough), I didn't expect EVERY professor here to measure up to Rocky, but none of them come close. He's the best instructor I have ever had, and, apparently, will ever have. The most inspiring mind I've ever had the opportunity to engage with.

What a legend of a man. Had never taken Phil before, but this guy made me go on to take 3 courses in my first year, so I am now doing a combined major in Phil and English mostly coz of him. Every class was entertaining and Rockney was hilarious.
