Awesome! Accent a bit challenging; incredibly courteous and delightful. Gives handouts of what will be on exam. Quiz + assignment everyday. Thoroughly wonderful prof, easiest language course I've ever taken. Goes out of his way to help you succeed. If you don't care, don't come to class, and don't learn, you'll fail. Do the work, you'll be fine.

I really like him. He was always very kind and courteous in class, and I always get a kick out of his tangents and jokes. His accent is pretty awesome too. Just go to class, use the book, and you can do well. Ro Jeffs is the man

Horrible prof! Goes too fast, expects too much and is hard to understand. He always puts you on the spot in class and makes you feel like an idiot when you dont know the answer. His exams were hard but the only plus side about him is that he lets you re write your mid term with hardly any changes.

Prof. Jeffreys is a good professor who obviously knows his stuff. I appreciate that he has his own opinions, carefully held, and that he presents them with an evenhanded consideration that they might also be wrong.

DO NOT TAKE! DO NOT TAKE! His lectures made me fall asleep too many times to remember. His exams are impossible! He expects you to remember an unreasonable amount of information about EVERYTHING! He is big on obscure quotes for exams For the winter midterm he expected everyone to memorize the info for 15 long documents, worth 40%, with two essays.

I'm sorry, I love Rome, but by Jove that was dull. Insanely hard memorization to be done in order to succeed at the picture test and exams. The lectures were almost impossible to endure for me. He really tries to make it funny, and sometimes succeeds too! Overall I would not take this class again. Very unfocused, very chronological lectures.

His accent makes every Latin tirade sound hilarious. He's horribly disorganized and a little gruff but his knowledge and wit make up for it.

Detailed/broad/interesting content, easy & fun textbooks (cheap too!) hard marker, really knows his stuff, hard to be awake during lecture but that was the room's fault... overall, I enjoyed the course.
