Very interesting woman, gives thought provoking lectures and really appreciates class conversation. I really enjoy the atmosphere, it's more discussion based and laid back.

Class didn't seem organized. She has annoying mannerisms while lecturing. Definite feminist leanings but I have those myself so I didn't mind. Overall rating is "okay" at best.

I cannot understand all these negative comments. Romayne is brilliant, compassionate and (OK I know this is [should] not be relevant) the hottest, sexiest Prof on campus. No one can (who is not blinded by politics) can deny her any of these things. She is a superb teacher. Demanding, yes, but also inspiring. I would take any course with her.

This is one prof who will make you think. She certainly has feminist leanings, so if you are offended by this, don't take her classes. Gives articulate, well organized lectures and brings interest to the subject. I thought I would clash with her based on other reviews on this page, but I came away with a great deal of respect for her.

This course really made me question what exactly is MIT? Should I stay in this faculty? What can I do with my education? If you have a choice, chose Blackmore. Just a hit: many people say that whoever had Blackmore stayed in MIT, and whoever had Romayne switched out.

This was quite the interesting class, but DO NOT take unless you are planning to go into MIT as a major. It's a difficult, demanding class and the exams are not easy. As for Fullerton, she is an extreme feminist, will stick by her opinion regardless and will not help you with jack. If you ask her for help she'll tell you to go to the TA.

worst class ever! there were times where i would have rather shot myself in the foot than listen to that ridiculous feminist horse-s*it spiting out of her mouth. her class is useless and she makes it seem like its the be all and end all of education. DONT TAKE IT WITH HER!

Probably the worst prof I had first year. If she ever wonders why people aren't too big into feminism, it might have something to do with her disrepect for her students' opinions and how she rips them apart for putting feminism or her course into questions. For your sanity, don't ever take a class with her!!!

Kind of ****y if you ask me. Swares like there is no tomorrow. When me and one other MIT member tried to get help from her, she simply turned us away. Not impressed with her at all. Good lectures, very interesting, but other then that, very bad.

There will be a definite, unapologetic feminist bent to the readings. I AM a feminist, but am not sure if this is appropriate in the context of this course. One of the most passionate, helpful, and just plain good-at-teaching professors you will have. Her language is totally unprofessional, though. Really not attractive at all, just to clarify.

I ****in love this ****! Provoked me to think a lot outside of class. One of the few classes I've taken that I LOVE going to and enjoyed doing the work for. She may go on some opinionated rampages at times, but they make a lot of sense and she is simply wonderful.

I LOVE HER! She made me realize how important media studies are- I learned SO MUCH- and it was a fun class to go to. Although at times she teaches from a biased perspective, Romayne is an intellegent prof who challenges and enlightens her class. I LOVE YOU ROMAYNE!!!!

Another Prof who wants to impart her opinion onto everyone - even though perhaps at times she is WRONG! Just reiterate what she says on your exam, and you are golden.
