DrPugh seems to be a nice guy at the beginning of the semester but wait to see his true colors at the end of it i realized that he did not divide properly the load of the course material like for the midterm the material tested was 4 chapters out of 10 and then in just few weeks like 4 weeks he covers the rest of material only theory not problems

DrPugh really focuses on theory rather than teaching engineering problems related to the course The midterm was mainly solving problems with few theory questionsIt seems that DrMedraj is a better option for mech 321

He teaches really well and he gives good feedback on any questions. However, his test is too difficult if you're not familiar with material science or chemistry. You need to study not only his slides but the textbook as well. I don't recommend to take this course as an elective but still, you can learn something from him.

His questions are tricky From his slides you will not learn everything The only thing you have to do is to read the book He covers in extremely short period of time too much material to be able to understand go to another section very strict not recommended

Clear, entertaining lectures. Mid term had a lot of repeated material and final was a pretty healthy challenge, but he wasn't the one who wrote it. Honestly, I didn't open my textbook once because his lectures and powerpoints were clear enough. Definitely a good choice, probably better than Drew.

A respectable professor, who does a good job at articulating information about the course. He is very approachable if you have any questions. The course itself is not too difficult, even if materials science is not your cup of tea. Print his notes before class and read them, and follow along during lecture. The midterm and exam is average, study!

This class is very similar in style to mech 221. The midterm was tricky however final was doable. He is great at explaining concepts and provides many examples. His slides are excellent. He is easily approachable and I can say that he got me excited about engineering. Definitely one of the trillest profs at the university.

Excellent teacher. He knows the materials very well, like he knows everything! Makes you want to be just like him one day.. Good lectures, excellent explanation skills; all crystal clear. If only all teachers were like him, but your efforts count indeed if you pay attention and study the theory.

Amazing professor. Everyone attends the lecture, he has crystal clear notes and tries his best to explain the difficult concepts. If you don't understand something, he will repeat if you ask to. Tests are mostly theory, so if you learn your material, you can get a very good grade. In this class, the grade you get reflects the effort you put into it

Pugh is an excellent teacher. He explains the material well and is really interested in it. He's definitely one of the best Profs I've had so far. The course material is not easy, but if you pay attention in class and study, everything becomes clear. Definitely try and take him for 221. He is very approachable and always ready to answer questions.

Head of the Mechanical Engineering Department. Well-organized-Explains very clearly-has a good sense of humor-Always brings educational objects to the class to better explain the materials. You WILL run out of time on MIDTERM (so be prepared!) When you come to your second and third year of engineering you wish other profs were like him.

Easily the best mechanical engineering professor at Concordia. He actually answers your questions with COHERENT statements that are relevant to the course material--I would take him for every course if I could.

Pugh is the BOMB! Great guy, super approachable, knowledgeable about everything materials related. He made me borderline passionate about a subject I flat out did not care about beforehand. Drop by his office (he's always there) to see all the cool samples he has, ask him how Samaria swords are made or invite him to a pub crawl, he sometimes comes.
