Comment:

Truly enjoys economics and teaching. He cares about the students and is willing to help them outside of class. Lectures can be long and dry, but he has many good stories and experience to speak from. Gives unorthodox life advise and has good dry humor.

Comment:

Batch is an incredibly kindhearted and well-respected man, but he is simply a below average teacher. While his lectures are very informative, they're also incredibly dry and monotonous. Like seriously, imagine staring at the wall for an hour and a half and that's probably more exciting. His grading can also be confusing and without rhyme or reason.

Being a year out of school I can only beg econ majors to take Batch's money and banking class. It is the only class I use for my career and the only reason I had enough knowledge to even get my job. Take money and banking, keep your notes, and pay attetion. Batch is freaking hilarious.

I took him for intermmediate microeconomics and he is the worst teacher ever. He does not explain at all, he just talks forever (assuming the students know everything he's talking about), doesn't simplify things or take notes on board, etc. If he does draw a graph, there is no way you can take notes and see what he just shaded. DO NOT TAKE HIM!

Batch is the best part of Pepperdine Economics. Great guy and sure, lectures are a bit dry but he likes to mix it up with anecdotes. If you know how to study properly, you can do well fairly simply. Study the HW. It all comes from former exams.

Great guy, very smart. Usually explains things well. Get to know him. Tests and homework can be pretty tough, but if you study really hard, come to class, and go to his review sessions then you'll be okay.

After taking his class all I can say is "What?!?!" He is very confusing and his lectures are very very very boooooring!! Yet he is nice to both the dudes and the chicks. I would advise you to steer clear of this guy especially if your new to any Econ. classes.

Really nice guy. easy going but lectures are boring. studying his homework sheets are the key to the class. He is a slow grader but its just his style. very personal and social with his students. Try to get to know him personally. No attendance policy!!

"Batchie" as we called him makes great jokes, told us about when he check kited, and teaches at the highest of standards. I'd recomend him 10X over.
