It's great that he's one who encourages participation more than a grade on a test because participation is the REAL WORLD. Amazing teacher, though he does cancel class a LOT. Has no major gripes about homework being late, and will always keep the class interesting. I recommend immensely, especially if you're interested in any field of music.

This is the greatest professor you will EVER have. He is an easy A and spends most of his time telling his amazing stories, and connecting with the students. He may even buy you food for some classes. Amazing guy, amazing classes, easy A, take him for anything!!!!

I really was excited for this class at first. However, the music majors who have had him before RUINED the class. They kind of alienate you are suck ups. He brags a lot too! He picks favorites on day 1. The final is a summary of a textbook- yes you summarize a textbook. A little disappointed after reading the rave reviews he was given.

RON is one of the MOST AMAZING PEOPLE on EARTH! if it were not for him, i would literally have NO direction in life. Granted he goes off topic many times during class, but you learn life lessons and he tells you his "war stories".the places this man has been, and the things he has seen, and done : are like NO ONE ELSE AROUND! He's such an awesome guy, and he knows SO much about American Music is makes me sick. Even though I'm more interested in classical, he made the class entertaining and I learned a lot. The only thing I wish is that the class was more directed to Education majors. He kept talking about "When you're in the industry..." which isn't even my major...

Brilliant man with brilliant experiences to share. Get to the heart of what he's saying and you'll get an A, as well as come away with an amazing insight. He's no longer absent at all really, his health has been pretty much renewed. Great guy, great classes, take him if you want to talk to someone who knew John Lennon personally.

Most amazing guy at this school. Knows more about music than anyone I've ever met and has done it all. He gets sick a lot, and cancels class but gets right back on track when he returns. Easy assignments but it'll expand your thinking. Love HIM!!!

Ron is a great guy, but he never stays on point with his lectures. I kno every1 likes him, I do too, but all of his classes end up bein the same! He never has anything planned out, and you hav to hassle him to receive your papers back in a reasonable time, if at all! He ends up just bs's through the class time and you can never get a hold of him!

I've had Ron for 4 seperate classes, and I must say he has to be the craziest man on campus.lol. I had a little trouble in his aesthetics classes, trying to figure out what exactly he was looking for, but his business and publishing classes are on point. Overall the guy is amazing, and I am astonished at how much he can remember off the top of his head. Encyclopedia Britannica doesn't contain as much information as Ron does.lol.

He's an "okay" guy. He is very helpful. I had him for band 4 years ago and he was ALWAYS absent because he didn't want to miss any games on tv. There were many times where the kids would show up, but he never would... this was not a good impression on the department so I transfered to another school
