Ron is a great professor, he knows how to get students to pay attention and actually care for the course. He does have his favourites however, whom he caters more. He appreciates questions in class and never makes you feel dumb for asking them in the first place. Eager to help in and out of the classroom.

I have a really hard time with math, and I went to every single class and Ron was more than willing to help me out because he could see me trying. Don't miss class though or you won't understand the material, and he won't help you as much.

Very friendly guy, likes to know his students on a first name level; he gets upset with people skipping his classes however so attending is recommended by myself. He makes sure people know what is going on and does a very good job of making sure it's clear.

What an amazing prof who cares about how well his students do, and will do examples until you understand. He makes class interesting, and clear. Just don't use your cell phone in his class and make sure to do problems he assigns in class and you'll get along find with him :)

I had Ron in my first semester for Statistics in 2004, and I found him great. Before, he was a TA which made him a great prof, unlike, some of who obtained a PhD who hide inside because they can't hack it in the real world. If you don't come to class then, why should he give you extra help, unless if you work to pay for tutition.

Ron is great. He is very willing to help you ... but he has to know you are trying in some way. if you never go to class he has no pity for you, but he is the better teacher for all the courses. Ron teachs hard courses but he makes them much easier on his students. Show him your trying and you'll do fine!
