This professor is terrible. Your entire grade consists of only quizzes which are insanely hard. He gives you a huge packet of notes that he came up with the first day of class and they are nearly impossible to read and are all over the place. The whole class was so lost the entire time & he didn't even act like he cared to explain the answers to us

Comment:

Don't take this class with Ron if you want to get an A. One of the worst teachers at WMU. He teaches from a packet of personal notes he made. This packet is almost impossible to decipher. Basically in a made up language only he understands. He would tell what would be on quizzes and then when we took them, they would be completely different.

Prange consisted of 3 exams and no homework, in which he didn't use the book. Instead, he gave a booklet of his own typed up notes that were impossible to read. The math portion on the exam was fairly easy after hours of practice but good luck on the M/C and T/F (around 60% of the exam).

He would tell you what would be on the quizzes. But after studying what he said would be on there, the test questions would be completely different. First test I got a 3230, but the rest of the test he acted like we were all Finance majors and ramped up the difficulty. He doesn't help you and just reads from the slides.

Ron is a good professor. Finance can be a tough subject, but he explains the material well and is always helpful if you need him outside of class. Be sure to understand his lecture notes and study guides because that is what the exams are on, nothing else. If you know the review guide, you'll be fine.

The entire class, the entire semester has been lost and he won't help you. His lectures and notes are completely pointless and the book doesn't serve as an aid but a distraction. Do NOT take this course with Ronald Prange unless you want to fail FIN 3200. Even the tutor center thinks his questions are ridiculous and irrelevant.

This class is okay...Ron is a great guy and even funny. Class is boring bc he just reads you the notes. but everything you need is on those notes...never used my book it was a waste. this class is only based on 250 points which kinda sucks...no curve offers some extra credit on quizzes...you must study/go to class if u want to pass

He was an all right professor. He seemed pretty nice. It seemed like the notes never had to do with the test because I always ended up getting Ds. Attendance isn't mandatory but I would suggest attending class. If you do the Business weeks and team assignments you should be fine. I ended up with a B in this class.

Curriculum got changed last semester...used to be all online and easy...that's changed I find myself constantly pulling all nighters to study for his tests which i end up with D's on no matter what, what he lectures on in class does not reflect in the tests good lucky!
