The course is really well-structured; there's a really nice flow to the material. If you do the readings and go to class, there's no way you can do poorly. Dr. Schwartz is pretty easy to understand (despite his overuse of "um..." and "ah...") and the stuff he talks about is really interesting. Recommended.

Gives really good lectures, and handouts with study questions that prepare you for exams...since basically the same questions from the handouts will be on exams, and the answers are from lectures/texts, so it's not bad. Really interesting course, definitely learned a lot. Only thing I didn't like was that he left little comments/feedback on exams.

Love him for 3150, but hate his 2120 class, it is the most mundane and boring 2 and a half hours i have ever experienced, im sure the course coild have been good but the topics like, the internet and the sociology of the gene are just so very uninteresting to me. Take Him for 3150, but maybe not any where else

This course could be a bit better, but it is soo dry. The prof just stands and talks in a monotone voice, I cant even force myself to listen. Fortunately, all he is talking about is in your readings, so you can still do ok if you read those... they are dry too though, and incredibly hard to force yourself through.
