I love Francisco, he's one of my favorite professors. He's knowledgeable, intelligent, and very willing to help if you don't understand. I highly recommend POLS 566; the class size is small and the information is more limited than POLS 150. All over an amazing guy.

Francisco is awesome. His lectures are straight to the point, and he has a dry sense of humor which is entertaining. The class is 3 exams and a research paper. Even though attendance is required, going to the class and taking notes makes the tests a lot easier. This class is a must take.

I loved this class. He is an excellent professor and really knows his stuff. GO TO CLASS. If you pay attention, you should ace the tests. Some of his questions come from the readings, so make sure to check up on those (pay attention to names of people). He is a fairly easy grader, just put the effort in and you will be rewarded.

Comment:

Very knowledgeable and very nice guy, but he is very dry and boring. You have to go to class as the text books dont entirely help you with understanding concepts. Alot of stuff he talks about in class is on the test. Study guides are kind of helpful. I just dont like that the class was 4 tests and 50% of ur grade(test3) and the final are on one day

I took the honors version of the course, and there were three exams total. He gives out a study guide for each exam and all of the questions on the study guide are basically on the exam. The final is not cumulative which is also nice. There is one research paper due at the end of the semester but it was easy and he graded it very leniently.

This professor is extremely knowlegeable! He makes class fun and interesting. His tests are difficult if you miss alot of class but if you keep up with the notes and read the book then you will do well. I highly recommend this teacher! He works well with students and is an awesome teacher! The information is useful later in life!

His lectures are straight to the point and he has a very dry sense of humor, which makes the class a lot of fun. Tests are straightforward and based mostly off of lecture, you just need to skim the book for defined terms. He knows what he is talking about, and you can tell he loves what he is teaching. Ron Francisco is great! His class was easy, and the tests are pretty straightforward. Come to class, and you barely have to study. The paper is pretty easy, and he is a forgiving grader. I learned alot, more than in classes where I have worked alot harder.

Go to class and take down the slides and your good to go. I only went on test days for pols 150 and did fine. For the upper level courses definitely go. He is still monotone, but his wit and passion make the class fun and information easy to retain. Tests are not hard if you study slide notes. Very easy.

When you first start the class you won't like Dr. Francisco. He has a very dry sense of humor and lectures in monotone. As the semester goes on you'll get to like him a lot. He's the only professor I know that uses overheads. He knows his material and enjoys teaching it.

What can I say about Ron Francisco. Well in the beginning of the year he seemed really dry and boring. Towards the end of the year he was a cool guy. He knows what he's talking about. Tests are said to be half and half over tests and lecture but it's mostly lecture. Only complaint is his set up. Only 3 tests so they're over 8-10 chapters each

Don't take this class... If you want to stress over impossible tests that average less then 60% (out of 200 students)!!! Tests questions are so random and he puts in questions that trick you. People hate this class because it's so much work for an introl class. This class is a joke, don't take!!!!

He seems to know what he is doing, but class can be SUPER boring sometimes. There is lots of reading but mostly it is his lectures that show up in the tests. Test grades can be very low but the entire grade is curved at the end of the year so everything works out great.
