She is a good professor but her lectures are very boring. But she is a nice person and extremely knowledgable. She gives great feedback. Oh and don't even think about plagiarizing anything she doesn't tolerate at all. READ the material and you can get at least a "B".

Quirky enthusiastic teacher Straightforward speeches/writings to read & then rhetorically analyze for in class discussion& participation points almost daily. 2 analysis PPs & 1 short presentation Can be a tough grader at first, but gives great feedback. I learned so much considering I'd never taken a rhet class b4. Taking her next semester for 232!

She's fine if you do all the reading, but she expects you to get creative with the most boring of presentation prompts. I had a hard time taking her seriously because she spoke to us like a kindergarten class, not college students. Not recommended for non-COMS majors looking for a gen-ed filler.

This class is a lot of work. Beth is very smart but the format of the class (a lot of discussion) can cause the class to drag a bit. Plan on working hard to get an A. I got a B and put in a lot of effort. Grading is strict. Attendance is required, plus if you miss class you miss daily quizzes which affects your grade. Study guides give exact quest

Really freakin' intelligent. Be prepared to actually learn in this class. If you are open to it, it can be pretty engaging. She gives many opportunities to get in-class credit (she calls them PEOs). I was stupid and skipped too much. Make sure you read the blackboard/book assignments to get full credit!
