Excellent professor, well organized, very fair, total command of the subject area. One of the most outstanding professors I've had. Word hard, you'll do well. Tests are difficult and the reading involved, but the course is very doable. Can't speak highly enough of Ron.

Ron is the absolute man. He's hilarious and he really makes a point to connect with his students. No tests, a few written assignments and a final project that you work on slowly. One of my favorite teachers ever

Great class. If you are interested in HR take this class with Ron because its interesting and very easy. No exams, a few homework assignments, and a final project/essay is all the class is composed of. Class time is used efficiently, Ron is super sarcastic/funny and doesn't waste your time because he doesn't like wasting his own.

Ron Karren is the man. Hands down one of my favorite professors here at UMass, definitely recommend taking a class with him. Easy enough if you put in the effort - watch videos in class sometimes (the office too) and play jeopardy for extra credit before tests

Ron is hands down one of my favorite teachers I've had at UMass, his sense of humor is awesome and he is a good teacher. Adds videos (sometimes the office) to his lectures and we play jeopardy before tests. Take a class with Ron!

Great class. Makes boring material interesting. Only 4 hw assignments all semester. 3 exams (1 is the final). Each exam is 40% take home essay and the rest is m/c, t/f, and a few short answers he tells you ahead of time. Don't underestimate the exams, not as easy as you may expect. Textbook is very helpful with hw and take home exam essays.

Great Teacher who is out to make a dry subject humorous. Connects lessons in class to things like the office and 60 Minutes Videos which help explain the material. Do the work, play jeopardy (and try), and attend class and it should be an Easy A.

funny guy, jokes on expense of students sometimes. It is not eassy to understand his questions sometimes. Lots of class participation if your brave to risk getting made fun of- I was. He is an insensitive old man!

Professor Karren is, indeed, the man. I've never seen a professor flip around the most boring class in the history of man and actually make it, not only decent, but worthwhile. The class isn't hard. Jeopardy is fun, his jokes are for the books, and it's the only class in SOM I haven't felt like throwing the towel in after 15 mins of lecture.

Awesome Guy, Awesome professor. Makes a boring subject actually tolerable with his great sense of humor. Told a kid in class to stop smoking pot because of his bad answers. Even throws the class a party at the end of the year.
