He was very confusing, careless about how much time he wasted talking. Class would run 30 mins longer than it's suppose to bc he wants to go on a rampage about not spending the rest of your like flipping burgers... Not helpful at all unless you we smart. Went to a different school and passed AP 1&2 w no problem at all!

Had him for BIO 135. Absolutely amazing. He knows who the dedicated students are and the students who just don't care. Bring a recorder to class. TESTS ARE HARD, but if you study you'll be fine. I would regret it if I didn't take him. If you want to go into nursing or other health-care related majors,TAKE HIM. If not, don't make your life harder.

Horrible dose not even describe this guy. He was the worst Prof. that I have ever had. Only the smart ones did well. very confusing and he would make us email "important words" to him after every class by midnight. I retook this class w someone else and pass with no problem.

Dr. P is one of the best teachers in LCCC. I've never learned this much in a class. He will teach you all that you need to know. He is helpful and nice but his class is hard so you have to put effort in it to get a good grade. Got an A!

Not helpful at all. Didn't answer questions, when he did answer it was usually wrong. quizzes every week. long impossible tests. During our cat dissection, he would call in groups to name the muscles each week, and he would often mark a muscle as wrong even if it was right and change the answer for another group, so there was no right answer.

Lectures about how no one should be late, be he is late often, including for exams. Lab exams are difficult. The microscope ones are fine, but others are unnecessarily confusing and rushed. He does give pts for extra credit and grades on a curve, which gives opportunity to get good grade.

Extremely difficult class. You will have to study a lot to get a decent grade, and the weekly quiz is fill in the blank. He teaches well, but the quizzes and tests are very hard. If you pass you will probably never forget the material you learn, though.

Dr. Pohala is a tough but very skilled teacher. If you do well in this class, you WILL know the material. However, I don't recommend taking this class unless you are a nursing or pre-nursing major. You don't need to know this much information for dental hygiene or exercise physiology.

Dr.Pohala is one the hardest teachers i have ever taken in my life. Hes a great teacher but goes way overboard with his teaching methods. "TEACHING STYLE" 1. every week theres a 50-80 qestion lecture quiz just fill in the blank. Tests consist of 200 question. T/f, Fill in blank, and multiple choice with essay at end.His lab tests are impossible.

great professor. if you do not understand him, you are probably not doing your fair share of studying. and yes, there will be studying. My only problem is that his handouts are absolutely filled with typos yet he grades on spelling. Great prof! Really MAKES you learn what you need to,(and then some)If you aren't going to school for Nursing or Pre- something, just don't take him. He teaches for the medical student and teaches it well. He is difficult but there is no denying the amount you will learn. Certainly you will receive an edge in the med field if you take Dr. Pohala

This is a 100 level course and is not for everyone going into the field of science. For me it is a core level class for my crim major. Why teachers feel they must teach at a level higher than the course level is beyond me. Why must a prof act like we are entering their field!
