Hard class. Boring lectures so sit in front to stay awake. Tests are pretty difficult & sometimes unclear. Ended up with a C+. My hardest class this semester.

Prof Stampfl is a decent. His classes are extremely boring and MANDATORY. He gives out quizzes on a regular basis to keep you coming to his classes. His tests are pretty hard. You are allowed to have a notecard for every quiz/test. Class is not curved. Ended up with a C+

Prof. Stampfl is one of the most incompetent teachers I have had at state. He is not very helpful because he never understands your questions. He talks about how he cares for his students, but he doesn't ACTUALLY know how to. The averages for the tests are D+ to C-. He will blame that on you. SDSU needs to get rid of him. He's useless. STAY AWAY!!!

Stampfl isn't a bad guy, but he's way past his prime in terms of teaching. Course was an unorganized mess, half of the tests consisted of questions from the book that he referenced exactly 0 times, highest grade on the 1st exam was an 82(and that was the "easy" one) and it was just a brutal class. Group work is key to passing this class.

I agree with the comments below. His lectures are useless but u must attend in case there is a quiz. He has a quiz once a week but doesn't tell you which day of the week, and 3 exams. Must read the entire book because his lectures are no help. absolutely hated this class.

This guy is useless. All quizzes are from the book only. During class he rambles on and on about nothing. Might as well zone out in class then go home and read the book. He lets you have a note card, but its pointless because there is so much material covered in each quiz. Don't take him if you don't have to.

He rambles ON AND ON during class most boring time of my life but you have to go to class in case he gives a pop 15 question true/false quiz. allows a note card which means you HAVE to read each chapter before class. Exams are very hard with random questions not from text or class. avoid if you can!!!

This teacher was not bad at all. Three exams which can be difficult but if you read the book and pay attention in lectures you should be fine. Had friends that took marketing with other teachers and they were struggling so I would recommend Stampfl

Do not take this class. You get a note card for the tests but its pointless because you have know idea what to put on it. He is no help and doesn't know the concept of teaching. Worst teacher ever. Aviod, its a waste of time.

3 m/c exams and weekly quizes at end of class. Points for attendance. He lecture for almost the entire time and attendance taken at end of class. Exams and quizes based on book only. No group work, projects or papers. Easy no stress A- but you have to show up. Clear cut expectations, grading system.

Come on guys, don't be hard on him. If you guys are too lazy to just read the f.. book summaries it's your fault. I'm currently taking him for summer and I've being getting 90's on tests, and I don't even pay attention in class. TAKE HIM!!! No quizes, homework, attendance. Lectures are on the boring side and some don't coincide with the textbook, but if you read the summaries of the book and attend class for the quizzes you'll do fine. The tests are common sense. A small cheat sheet is used for quizzes and tests. The quizzes really help your grade in the end. No homework other than some reading.

Pretty brutal class. 5 15 minute presentations, a 45 minute presentation, 2 midterms, a final, and final paper. You'll learn presentation skills but that's it. It's ALL numbers, like an accounting class. The tests are completely different than the notes. Average on our first test was a 68% with a high of 77% if that makes it any clearer. Stay away.

It is sad that after all these comments and after so many suckers who have HAD to take this class, that this idiot is still a professor at State.. an average score of 1.9 come on..a disgrace to the business dept.
