Kind of a goof, but funny in his own way. He often goes off on tangents. Don't really need to go to lecture as he pretty much follows the text word for word. Just know your stuff from the book and you'll be fine. Go to the review lectures though, as he often gives good hints as to what is on the exam.

Lectures were soooo boring! I lost interest in this course quickly because of how boring he was. I got a horrible mark but that was my fault for not being able to stay awake in class. Funny guy though and very well liked by his students.

Wintrobe is da bomb. The things he says are so funny. He really doesn't care what people think about what he says. He also takes any questions in class, which is awesome. And he doesn't believe in extra work. All he makes you do is read the textbook. The class is pretty boring though.

Don't listen to these people who say he is a bad teacher. This is the best teacher ever for 1st year Micro. He doesn't teach, you don't need to go to his class, but he gives the easiest tests ever. Just read the book and you are good to go. Also there are no online quizes which is a HUGE plus.

Had him last year, good prof I found, he was willing to go beyond just repeating what the text book said and taught us some of his own theories, which were not that difficult to comprehend. Sometimes seems uninterested but is helpful when you ask him. But then again, might have just been the fact I smoked cigarettes with him during break periods :)

Don't listen to these Econ 020 rookies. Wintrobe knows his stuff and is a pretty easy marker. Some of his political economy work toes the line of pseudo-science, but it's interesting nonetheless. Good man.

Made me hate micro. He thought he was better and smarter than all of us and didn't seem like he enjoyed teaching. He gave us long breaks in class so he could go for a smoke. He didn't encourage us or consider the fact that we were new to university. I'm normally an A student but I had no interest in his class whatsoever and got a 46 overall grade.

WORST ECON PROF! Know's nothing about economics and does not care about any of the students. This guy is NOT knowledgable and if you get him in your class, make sure you drop the course! Des Mckeon who is teaching the Macroeconomics is a much better professor!

I wasn't overly impressed with his first or last impression. In 02 he strolled into class and proclaimed that he spent the summer in the Riviera and wasn't particularly keen to start teaching. True enough to his word, he never really started. I ran into him at Flesh Gordon's one summer night on 05 and he was living it up. Riviera huh.
