Professor Jewell was an extremely nice and caring professor who would always give good feedback. I would recommend anyone to take his online course, he is very clear on what needs to be done and it's enjoyable.

I took Professor Jewell's English 102 class online this past semester. He gave great feedback on all of my essays and was very clear on what we were supposed to accomplish each week. He never was late to post assignments and I learned a lot throughout the class. He also grades papers very thoroughly and grades them quickly.

As an English teacher, Professor Jewell is top notch. Because he is extremely thorough with his grading, I initially received low marks. However, after learning from my mistakes and triple proofreading, I dramatically improved. I consider his tough grading as an advantage when rating him because he helped me properly learn the subject.

He is a cool guy. He is funny and really explains the material to you. Quizzes are easy and so are the essays. One of the easiest English classes I've taken. He helps you if you ask. Really awesome guy

I have taken Mr. Jewell twice and I love him. He is a harsh grader and wants you to learn from the mistakes you make. I learned a lot from him. The format of the class is very easy to follow. You can expect a discussion board post weekly and a few larger papers every few weeks. He is also very good at responding to emails in a timely manor.

Jewell gave a lot of feedback but it was usually degrading and not very helpful. He made me feel dumb and I would consider myself a good writer. He was condescending and just downright mean sometimes.

He is very organized. I was initially scared to take his course after reading his other reviews about his grammar policy. He does provide a grammar checklist. If you read through it before turning in papers, then you will do fine. He offers a great critique of papers, and I feel that I am a better writer after taking this course.

He is a really good teacher, and gives great feedback on papers and discussion boards. He lets you know where you made a mistake, and helps to make sure you don't make it again. He will mark you down for writing errors, but that is expected since he does teach English. Easy class if you put in the effort.

I took a couple different classes. He is a teacher who shows that he likes what he's teaching. He approaches subjects in simple terms, and isn't opposed to grading harshly if you keep making the same mistakes. That being said, he primarily grades you on your personal ability and on strong analysis. Still stresses importance of good grammar

He tells you exactly what needs to be done, provides MANY resources for writing, and grades your posts in a very timely manner. You can email him with a question, and he replies back in a short amount of time. He keeps Blackboard up to date and tidy. He cares about his students succeeding.

This class was mostly a review for me, but I learned everything in a new light. He is extremely organized and gives a lot of handouts which come in handy. He gives small quizzes on the out of class reading, but usually goes over what it was about. He really cares about his students and their success. Really pleasant person in general.

He is the worst professor i have ever had. I emailed him a problem I was having understanding the material we were covering that week and he replied by criticizing my grammar and told me not to email him again if I didn't use proper grammar and capitalization. He is very rude and unhelpful. Would not recommend any students take him for English.

Although this was a online class, I think that this teacher was very flexible about late assignments. He is tough on grading but not too bad to where you will fail. Just follow instructions and read the material and you should do fine.

I loved him! He helped me discover a new love for poetry! He's very caring and wants us to pass. He always told us to come to him with questions. He's a tough grader, but his rubrics are very clear and easy to follow! I ended with an A in his class. I would tell anyone who needs to take 102 to take him! One of my favorite teachers thus far!

I took his online course and he is a very tough grader. If you are naturally good at writing then this class will be pretty easy for you. Make sure to read everything he sends out to you and make sure you do all the assignments! He doesn't accept late assignments at all. He only gives a few extra credit opportunities so be careful!
