Rony is a very nice man himself but the way he teaches is not ideal. You basically teach yourself everything and have reading quizzes after EVERY reading. He almost never gives you full credit on assignments and is super strict on attendance even though you spend class time going over homework or participating in some sort of group activity.

Prof. Garrido was one of the kindest teachers I've ever had. The class is pretty tough when in comes to grammar tests, but just study well and you'll definitely pass. You have to write essays in Spanish, but if you know your stuff it's not too bad. You have to work a bit for your grade but he's just so kind that it's definitely worth it.

Professor Garrido Is an amazing teacher who truly cares about his students succeeding. He is always willing to help students in class or in office hours. Attendance is a big thing for him. Go to class every day, do the easy homework, and study for the quizzes (not hard) and you'll do just fine.

The thing I like about Dr. Garrido is that he is super enthusiastic when teaching, which I always find refreshing coming from a college professor. Super friendly and helpful, he's your typical really nice Mexican man, as well as a badass who has a Ph.D.

Rony is by far my favorite Spanish professor at Chico State. He is extremely passionate about what he does, very friendly and helpful to everyone. Just do the readings he assigns (none of them are very hard) and participate, you'll do fine. He loves getting to know his students and loves his job! You will not regret taking his classes!

AMAZING! He actually cares about and understands his students. Flexible with turning things in late (with good reason). Took him for Span 201 as well, he only speak spanish in class so and make sure you actually learn something in his classes, but also makes it fun. Take him if you can! Best pf EVER.

Not the most thrilling class in the world, I can't lie. But that's just 301 in general. It bores me to study grammar technicalities. But as far as his teaching, he's very clear, very enthusiastic, and pretty funny. Just don't forget to do the online quizzes like I did a few times. But if you're gonna take this class, he's great. I recommend him.

Even though he teaches basic Spanish it is still hard. He puts a lot on Vista so make sure you check it constantly and he does not speak english during class. He is understanding though and will answer questions in english if needed

He's really funny and outgoing and the topics are entertaining, but attendance is really important and if you dont make and effort to stand out in the class he will grade you based on how he remembers you doing in class....and his memory isnt that great. My participation grade was based on another person in the class with the same name as me.

Doesn't teach anything I couldn't have taught myself. Slaps arbitrary grades onto writing assignments, DOESN'T RETURN EMAILS. Doesn't show up for office hours, always late for class (and has been known not to show up at all.) And can't be bothered to keep track of grades. Phew. I think that's it.
