I've taken Barrera for 1402 and 2310 and am already signed up for 2320 this fall. She is a great professor. You always knows what to expect because she gives you a detailed syllabus at the beginning of the semester and sticks to it. I took 1401 at another college, so I had some difficulty in 1402, but thanks to her, I caught up and earned a B+

She is a wonderful teacher. Somewhat challenging, she teaches well. There is a lot of homework, but it really helps you learn the material. Lots of quizzes, but that holds you accountable so that you don't wait until the end of the unit to learn all the material for the test. She's really sweet and a good teacher.

As a freshman taking third semester Spanish, I thought I would be way in over my head. Although she is somewhat difficult and expects a bit in the way of homework, she is an excellent teacher, easy to get along with, and teaches the material thoroughly. Also, from what I hear, she is not nearly as difficult as some of the Spanish profs at Baylor.

does not realize that not her students have not memorized the Spanish Dictionary. assumes too much from her students. interesting class but she expects you to know any word she throws at you

She assumes that everyone is on the same level in the class and is very difficult. Only class i've taken so far that has sent me into a near panic attack.

Very good teacher, especially compared to most of the Spanish teachers here, who are impossible. Take her if you can, but don't steal my spot in her class!
