Comment:
She is the worst professor I've ever had in my life. She speaks very quietly and is easy to tune out because she is so boring and rambles on. If you actually want to learn about Christianity, don't take this course because she will just confuse you. You'll be left staring at the clock the whole time waiting for her rambling to end if you do.

The only time I found faith relevant was when I would pray for the clock to speed up. These classes were the longest experiences of my life. She gives two midterms, a term paper, and a final. I got a 100 and 95 on the midterms and I didn't open up my notes or textbook once. If you can withstand killing yourself for an easy A, this is your class.

Longest class ever. Her lectures feel about 4 hours long. Everyday. She is the most boring professor ever. With that said, I got a 100 on the midterm with minimal work. She gives reading every night but its not needed to pass. Only assignments are the midterm, final, and term paper. It's probably the easiest coursework but the worst lecture ever

This was the easiest college class I've ever taken. I never read the textbook & I got all A's. All you have to do to pass is do the study guides for the tests. Her lectures are really boring but it's an easy A. Just study 1 hour before the test & you're good.

Shes a very sweet lady, but I literally never know what she's talking about. As long as you do the readings and follow the study guide, you'll be fine. Her lectures are long and boring. Attendance is mandatory, which makes it worse because you could pass the class by reading the book at home.

Very sweet woman, but very boring. She's incredibly soft spoken, and tends to ramble. Lectures are long, no powerpoints at all, just her talking and writing random words on the board. Study guides do help though, and if you read you should pass.

Professor Christian is awesome! She's so sweet, and class discussions with her are always interesting. She is quiet, though, and her classes can kind of make you sleepy. She's very willing to help you, and her study guides are so helpful-- it's basically the exact test. Make sure you do your readings, though!

Lots of reading to do and two papers assigned with midterm and a final. If you put in the work you'll pass, but it's a very dry class unless you like philosophy and religion

She's precious, really nice. However, she's really soft spoken, often hard to understand. She tends to ramble or trail off about things which caused a lot of confusion on the harder religions. The grading system she uses benefits you in the end. A couple papers, attendance is mandatory, and a midterm and final. Do the work and you'll pass.

TURN AROUND WHILE YOU CAN. I ended up making this class a pass/fail because it was so ridiculous, especially for a gen ed. do not do it, unless you love religious studies.

She gives you a "study guide" for the test, consisting of a bunch of vocab words (but no definitions). As you do you nightly reading, fill in the definitions. It's much easier than doing it the night before the test. Her lectures are kinda pointless since all the info is in the book. Sit in the front since she speaks quietly.

The sweetest little woman. Very helpful and understanding, she posts everything on Blackboard and emails as soon as it's posted. 5Tests all on vocabulary so paying attention to the lectures and reading the book aren't really necessary. However the midterm and final are long and detailed essays so study from the book for those. Easy A. Take her!

Professor Christian is very nice and very knowledgeable about the five religions we studied. She is a soft spoken lady so you have to pay attention at all times. You have a midterm and a final and five vocab tests in between. If you like learning about religion I would suggest this class with Professor Christian

Most boring professor I've had at towson. I had NO idea what we were talking about in a class bc her sentences were 8 miles long with 800 tangents and I've never had a teacher that is easier to tune out. Gives study guides for tests which are ridiculously long. Takes attendance. Don't take this class unless you LOVE religious studies.

absolutely awful! I though religious studies would be interesting but this woman is anything but. She goes off on tangents and teaches in such a scatter brained manner that you have no clue what information pertains to the class. Tests are essays and hard with no rubric provided for how or why she gives you the grade she does. Do not take ths

Soft spoken. You must ask to use a laptop for notetaking and she occasionally asks you to turn it around so she knows you're taking notes. Asks questions she hasn't gone over to see if you're paying attention. Too hard for a gen-ed. DO NOT TAKE HER!!!!!!

Takes attendance, expects you to study from the textbook. Her midterms and finals are difficult and hard to finish in 50 minutes. She is nice and wants you to do well, but is soft spoken. Good class but a little too hard for a 100 level gen ed class.

Comment:
New Testament was a challenging, reading intensive course. We read the entire New Testament, and some of the Gnostic Gospels. The source-book was good, and the historical introduction by Ehrman was wonderful. I would advise anyone to take this class. Be warned, the reading is intense (800 - 900 pages for the semester).

She is very nice, however she drones on and on and is not interesting at all. She does not tend to listen to student's comments--she simply thinks she is right and that is that. She gives you a detailed study guide for the tests, which is nice, but is an incredibly hard grader. Good luck!
