This class would have been much better if I had taken Java programming first. Programming for SAP in this class isn't taught well. Learning the backend of SAP systems is interesting though. He didn't appear to be very passionate about the topics either. The tests are fair and you have adequate prep material available.

Basically he never answers his emails, he is very helpful personally though - which sucked for me living over an hour away from CAMPUS!! Anyway...his lectures are like chinese-you wont know where he started or finished. He comes off as someone who has no passion in teaching what he does. If you can get over his dreamy persona you'd be fine!

i've taken this guy before and it's a breeze to pass. his tests are harder than the powerpoints make it seem. overall, hard to get an A unless you're a study nut but it is easy to get a B if you study for at least an hour. class is meaningless unless you take the advanced networking courses. projects are lame! nothing like real world examples.

Some people like him,some people dont.My take is if you take interest you will love his networks class.He will do whatever it takes to make you understand the stuff. He doesnt care about class averages, grades, doesnt curve,doesnt give extra credit.His ONLY interest is that you should learn from his class and that you will.BEST MIS PROFESSOR.

He is amazing.Quiet man,speaks softly,sometimes he is not even audible:)But the stuff he teaches is so interesting,plus he has these modules.GOOD STUFF!!!You will learn a lot.He is always ready to help.I love his class.I heard he wont offer it anymore:( what a loss for MIS students.And mind you the exams aren't easy.So study regularly.

Advanced Distributed Information Systems with Hightower is an incredibly tough class, but is totally worth it. Quizes/Tests are hard, but they force the student to learn the info totally. I feel he was one of the best teachers at UCF and I have learned the most from this one class.

Hightower is an excellent teacher. He is very helpful and his lectures are very clear. If you're ever confused, he'll take as much time as needed to explain it. Class is easy AS LONG AS YOU STUDY and pay attention.

Not a blow off class; he'll spend lots of time with you in his office if you catch him at a good time. If you get him at a bad time, he's good at giving just yes and no answers and sending you off. Know the study guide for tests in and out, and you'll do alright. Had to take tests and write a paper.
