Explanations are good, but sometimes lectures are boring. Assignments are fair. Attendance is taken for classes. Easily approachable in class and during his office hours. Exams are hard/fair, study for them. Keep up with the class or you'll fall behind. He's goofy, and really understands JavaSript, but is kinda slow with computers.

Wow. Does he write all these reviews himself? He doesn't reply to e-mails and can't teach. I don't recommend taking any courses with him. Had him for online and none of my my classmates or I got a grade above a C+. Stay away.

Good class fun teacher. Not my subject but even still was pretty good. Very clear and helpful the labs where good although the lab write-ups where a lot of work, really sucked if you got a bad group was pretty easy if you got a good group. Only problem was their was a lot of focus on historical networking and technology that was out of date.

Great teacher there only problems I can see where that there was a huge focus on outdated/not used technology and systems he also did not clear up some things that students asked questions about. He was engaging interesting clear and wanted everyone to do well,gives you a chance to re-write all assessments and improve your grade you get a fair mark

Great instructor and easy going his classes are not difficult and he explains everything straight forward and marks fairly Also knows what he is talking about and can easily be reached and WANTS to help you do well and earn a good grade he is the type to be there for you and really let you absorb the material he teaches HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Roy is a passionate instructor. I took his online course and his expectations/course material and layout are really clear. Midterm was conducted online, and for finals he gave out 30 possible questions that would be similar. If you participate regularly, spend some time actually doing the assignments, and studying those 30 questions, it's an easy A

Roy is the best teacher in CIS hands down. I've had him in 3 classes and he's great, awesome sense of humour, very helpful, puts 150% in teaching the students. Midterms are great too. All courses with Roy ROCK! Uses webct all the time!
