He is nice guy but tough grader. Only midterm and final counts. Classwork, homework, and textbook won't help on test because he makes up his own problems.

Unorganized, gets off track in class to talk about something irrelevant. Funny because he is witty. Tests are impossible to pass unless you really understand the material to the core. Tests are all original questions with twists, none like the homework. Writes in arabic on the board. 2 exams that accounts for your grade. get ready for a C-

Nice and funny guy who makes class interesting with real world examples, but gives very tricky tests with problems quite different from homework problems. Gives partial credit on exams and picks highest score between average grade and grade on final exam for total grade. Should consider giving out handouts of his problems similar to exam questions.

Had him for research class. Great professor, very knowledgeable, explains complicated material in easy and understandable way. Always available and will help if you will hit a dead end in your research. Gives a fair feed back, advise on what sources students can use for their research. Great sense of humor! Take him!

He pretty much teaches by going over textbook problems, but does them different than the textbook says to do, so it makes it difficult to follow him. Only midterm and final count, which are hard to do well on since he makes up his own problems. He also makes students feel dumb. Sucks he's the only one who teaches cost in the fall and summer.

It's truly unfortunately how one of the worst professors IS the Chair of the accounting department @ Pace. He speaks with an accent, doesn't explain a lot in class, and his exams are tough. Do not recommend him.

RUN! RUN FOR YOUR LIFE! Nice guy, good sense of humor. Midterm and Final reflect nothing studied in class or homework. The only way you get a decent grade is attentively reading every chapter studied, or living in the tutoring center. Mind you, I am not a lazy student. Chicken-scratch handwriting, the list goes on. Take someone else

#1 Dr. Jacob is a master of his craft. #2 The class itself is difficult because of the sheer volume of material that is covered. Read ahead so you can follow his lecture. #3 He is respectful, humorous, and fair. #4 there are two exams that determine your overall grade and nothing else. Also, sit in the front as his handwritting is hard to read.

He's a humorous professor, knowledgeable but unfortunately his grading is bad. Tests are hard and studying from the textbook doesn't help much.. tutoring is definitely needed for his course, unless you are very smart in accounting.

I don't think he teaches the subject well. I didn't understand a thing in his class. His grading policy is flawed, 2 tests accumulate a high percentage and nothing else counts. TESTS are SO HARD, I don't recommend this professor. I studied 3 hours a day but only got a D+ in this class.

He is a very smart guy. He explains the subjects very well. you definitely can learn from him if you pay attention in the class and do the HW assignments. Exam is little bit harder. You will be fine if you practice and understand all the HW problems.

Excellent teacher. He was so good at explaining some pretty complicated content. If you are good at math, this class shouldn't be that bad. Just keep practicing the problems.

Dr. Jacob is a genius and an extremely gifted teacher. He's one of the top three professors I have ever taken a class from. You MUST do the assigned homework and read the assigned chapters. If you do this and attend every class, you will do well. Dr. Jacob is a straight shooter and the student gets every chance to excel in his classes.

Tough class but excellent professor. very intelligent, funny and a good teacher. Lets you know exactly what kind of problems you will get on the exams, so if you know how to do the problems he goes through in class, you should be fine. the exams however, are somewhat trickier than the text book problems, so you'll have to think to get a good grade!

If you need to take the Accounting Project, take it with Dr. Jacob. He gives you a lot of leeway in writing your paper and can be very helpful at times. He wants to see that you have used previous analytical research. Avoid the others for this project and take Jacob.
