really funny professor, he is very care free. He seems like a tough grader, but as long as you put some effort into your paper, and don't wait last minute you should survive. Two papers, 3 exams, an inventory (questionnaire), and he offers extra credit. He does cuss a lot so prude people don't take him, and he's soooooooy hawt!

Very unprofessional! Use bad and nasty language. I passed the class but will NOT take him again. Disapproves students working together. Does not go over exams. Grades "extremely hard" on my papers. Students did not want to participate when he asked questions the same few people would talk ever time. Take another teacher. He is not helpful Fall 2015

By far my favorite teacher of Fall '15. I took his 312 Personal & Family Development and felt like I was at a comedy gig! He is also very helpful when it comes to papers and very good at explaining material in class. I didn't read the book and managed to get A's on the exams. Please take this class! I highly recommend it!

Honestly one of the best courses I have ever taken at CSULB! I simply went to class because it was always interesting and I felt like I was learning about actual life skills instead of random things I would never use again. Online tests and 2 papers but because they are such interesting subjects they are super easy!

This class is awesome! His lectures are always interesting and he is good at connecting course material to his life and using humor to get people engaged. Take this class if you are interested in psychology, sexuality, family structure, and these things in your own life. I go to class because it's so interesting but it's not mandatory.

By far the best professor I have had in my three years at CSULB. He is a fair man when it comes to grading and I learned a lot from him. I definitely felt like a stray cat when the final class meeting came around. If you have taken his class you would know what I mean about his encounter with stray cats.

This is a class that you can gain much more out of besides a grade if you so desire. His experience and care for the topic goes beyond the University level but speaks directly to your personal life. While the class may be unchallenging, you will learn and laugh a lot if you attend his lectures! One of my favorite classes at CSULB in four years.

Professor Tardif is one of the best I've ever had. His lectures are funny, and he's easy going and realistic about life. He doesn't take roll but you'll want to attend class because you'll learn a lot. Go over the study guides and you should do decent on the tests. They're all online. if you know how to write a college level paper you'll be fine

Professor Russ is very passionate about this subject. He explains the material very good although he gets off topic a lot talking about his clients and what not. There is three tests which are online. He gives an outdated study guide that will not help for in the tests. There is two long papers. You must know how to write a college level paper !!!

Russ is an amazing professor! Not only is he hilarious, he genuinely cares about what he does. Three exams, three papers. DO NOT take this class unless you can write a decent paper! All exams online, open-book/notes and he gives you a week to do them. Attendance isn't mandatory, but his lectures make you want to be there! You will learn so much!

Mellow class - 2 papers (make sure you can write a decent paper) 3 online exams (including final). He does tend to use a lot of class time telling us about his clients' stories than actually going over slides but they're all posted online anyway. Do the study guides! I also recommend doing the practice quizzes on the website for the course book.

I was scared coming into this class because everyone said he was a tough grader, but he's actually not. Two papers (APA style) assigned, two online midterms, and one online final. If you can't write a proper college paper then don't take this course... his grading is actually easy and fair compared to other college professors. Got an A with ease.

This is definitely a capstone class, there are 2 papers one is 6 pages the other is 8....he is a tough grader. He provides study guides but, make sure you do the reading. Class isn't mandatory but coming to class and taking notes will be helpful when it comes to the tests. There are 3 MC tests including the final, which were online.
