Dr. Antosh is an amazing professor. She is always available to help you if you don't understand the reading (which may happen as this is an advanced French lit course). Also, if you bring your essay to her office to look over some specific grammar points, she'd take the time to make some corrections with you. Definitely a fan of Dr. Antosh!!!

She is very helpful and patient. The course work for any course she does isn't to bad it's mostly reading. She requires books but they are usually very cheap. I have taken 4 semesters worth of classes with her and she is great!

I am a French major and Antosh is my advisor so of course I love this woman. She may seem unclear and boring to some but no one can call her a difficult teacher; she gives ample opportunities to re-do work and she goes over units repeatedly. Recommend her to everyone!

tries to immerse, doesnt work. Terrible teacher.bad communication.bad class structure. Won't help with learning disabilities.useless in office hrs. The only reason I might pass this class is bc of the TA/tutor I go to.This was the worst french class I've ever taken. tests are not on what she says they will be. ever.

I've had Dr. Antosh every semesters for 5 semesters now. She's amazing. The entire French staff uses (more or less) the full immersion techniqe, and honestly it's been extremely helpful. I don't know what the hell the mediocre rating is about, she's one of the most effective professors out there.

This course used to be numbered FREN 421, and I sort of wish it still were. However, it's interesting, fun, and definitely a good use of time (thankfully, seeing as it's a major requirement). Dr. Antosh has, and always will, rock. She is smart, funny, kind, understanding, and helpful. Period.

I was required to take this course as a refresher before starting my major requirements. I loved Dr. Antosh! If you exhibit an interest in the subject, she warms up to you fast, and she is comprehensible, understanding, and a great teacher.

French 421 is a disaster. Although you learn quite a bit. I felt like no matter how good i did i would recieve a C. I've lived in France and have had much experience in total immersion. Im sorry but you can't effectively apply immersion style learning in a classroom. The reason i took the clas was to learn french in english unlike in France.

She isn't a tough prof at all (though that may be because I know the material) but I find her personality to be grating and she comes across as being very condescending. Once you get past that, though, she isn't a bad professor and the class can be fun.

She is one of the best teachers in the department that uses total immersion technique. While at first it may be frustrating to only use french in the classroom, it really prepares you for speaking and relating with native speakers. If you don't get the chance to study abroad in France, this class will definately help you in attaining proficiency

Tied with Dr. Loft as best French professor in the department. Tough, but accessible. Her French lit classes were better than any English classes I took at Fredonia. Canada Today was a real stinker though. Could just be because Canada's boring on the face of it.
