VERY boring professor. Lectures are dry and hard to understand sometimes due to accent. Seems like a nice professor but wasn't wonderful. I don't know if I would take her again.

Typical online class. Do the work pass. The lectures can be a bit dry, but they are very short. The majority of what is tested is from the textbook. Tests are very straightforward, no trick questions. If you legitimately try, you will probably get the grade you want. If you need to reach put to the professor, she is available within hours.

Really straight forward person. 3 exams and one paper. You have to attend every class to earn participation points. By the end of each lecture she will post some questions and those count for you attendance. There is no extra credit. Not really helpful during office hours. She makes you feel bad if you do go.

Terrible teacher, does not explain herself correctly, her accent is kind of heavy but you are able to understand the material on your own, no help from her. basically you are taking the class by yourself by teaching yourself she is of no help. If you have the option, take another professor than this one. She is not that smart and confuses herself.

3-4 online lectures each week, along with an activity after each lecture (really simple, one-sentence questions). The lectures are short, but painful to sit through because her thick accent is hard to understand. Tests are difficult, so make sure you take good lecture notes. Textbook is not needed. Would not take again because of her accent.

Class is composed of ppt lectures, videos and BB readings, weekly assignments is answering 2 easy questions due every friday. There is 5 tests and one paper too. Easy class if you study and do the work. Her tests can be tricky so make sure you read the chapters assigned from books because she will ask about 10 questions on book readings. I likedher

I liked Liu, but she did have the tendency to be rude sometimes. The classes are interesting, and 444 had 3 tests and one paper. Tests are pretty easy if you study, but the paper is a little more difficult. Grading is VERY strict. She's set on an 89.9% is a B. Other than that, she's good.

Make sure to attend every class and take notes & study hard for her tests. Not an easy A but put in the time and you will do good. Don't need to buy books didn't get them and ended up with a B.

Since online class, it's essential to listen to all lectures (they're short)/do all assignments & quizzes. She replies relatively quickly to emails if you have any questions. Quizzes come straight from lecture or the text book (almost verbatim from the book). Essay prompt was easy & you get to choose what film you want to apply class theories to.

I actually really liked this class. Her prerecorded lectures are essential to passing and they're really short. I took good notes from her lectures, never opened the book and did the weekly assignments which take about 2 minutes to complete after you've heard the lecture. One easy paper at the end of the semester. Overall easy and informative.

Homework is basically discussions each week that you do not want to miss. I didn't use the book until the end of the semester for the only essay assigned. Lectures are recorded online & helpful for the exams, if you have the book with you though it will be even better for some clarity. I don't think this class was hard but I could have done better

Exams cover mostly her power points, and a little bit from the textbook. 3 exams and a paper, pretty easy since she gives you study guides. Just show up and take good notes. Also, definitely start the term paper early on and don't do it at the end, it'll be less stressful for you. She's nice and tries to make the class fun! Sign-in sheets though :(

The material had a lot of potential to be interesting, unfortunately she was an incompetent and rude professor. Class consisted of packed powerpoints. Easily my least favorite professor at SDSU

Informative class... However you have to take lots of notes, she's always right on tests, she takes roll by doing group work in class or homework to turn it, lectures are boring and long. 3 tests 1 group presentation... I wouldn't recommend her but if it's your only option... good luck.

Got a B in her class. 3 test straight up from powerpoint and text book. One final paper that you have all semester for 6-10 pages and its cake to finish. Attendance is taking at the end of every class and is 10% of your grade. Looking for a easy elective, not bad here.

Prof. Liu was adorable! She was funny without even trying. Her tests are easy and like everyone else has said you don't need the book. You have all semester to do the paper and it's not difficult. Just show up and take good notes and you should get a good grade.

Prof. Liu's tests are pretty much based solely on lectures. A text isn't required, but her supplement is required as some test questions are based on them, unlike the textbook. The bottom line is to go to class everyday (attendance is taken)and take good notes. There was a 6-10 page paper and is based on something personal/real life example.

She was a very interesting professor. I really enjoyed going to her lectures because you can tell she knows what shes talking about and enjoys her subject. DONT BUY THE BOOK! Its a waste of money, just go to class and take good notes. All tests are based off of the lectures and are fairly easy.
