Your entire grade is based off of performance on exams, with a final forgiveness policy replacing the lowest grade. This might be a negative for some, but for the material I very much preferred this style. He grades fairly and is willing to work with you, and there are some extra credit opportunities. Do the practice problems and you will be fine

Good teacher, he teaches you everything that will be on the tests and quizzes and gives extra credit if people don't do too great. Half the quizzes were online and super easy. Doesn't require attendance but doesn't post lectures online. All hw is optional and he is a really nice person, always willing to help you out.

Best chem professor at Towson! He explains everything so clearly and gives you all the past exams to help you study. Gives you practice problems and tells you which ones we specifically need to know how to do for quizzes and exams. Honestly the best teacher I have had.

He is TERRIBLE! The online hw does not match what he teaches in class. There are 3 tests and a Final. 23 tests, the class average was an F. Get ready to read the chapter yourself and figure it out on your own.

I really enjoyed his class. He explains things really well and his exams are exactly what he teaches. He gives you EVERY SINGLE past exam he has given. Seriously just do all his practice exams even if its tedious and you will fly by perfectly fine in his class. Class will be hard if you don't take advantage of the resources he gives youstudy.

This guy is alright, he wasn't necessarily nice to me though, kinda sassy. He makes things more confusing than they have to be. He doesn't really teach like how other chemistry professors do, which to me isn't a good thing. A lot of concepts and you'll be required to apply those concepts in the exams. I really don't think he deserves a 4.4 rating.

Great professor. He expects you to work, but you will be rewarded. Does not always stick to textbook, so copy down practice problems from class in your notes. More concerned with theory than number crunching, which can be either harder or easier. He's a fair grader and definitely understanding. Plus, he's a nice guy and does interesting research!

Very nice professor. Class was more ecology based than chemistry which made it interesting and had more concepts than just formulas and numbers. Labs were pointless, but graded fair. Exams are majority of your grade. Study as you go along and you should be fine.

gives one homework assignment usually due 1 week before an exam. 3 exams, 3 homeworks, a cumulative final, and lab assignments are graded. there's an assingment due almost every week in lab. he lectures by using the chalkboard. exams=200 pts each, homework=50pts each, final=300pts, labs=vary. harder grader but not bad, overally good and interesting

Great professor. The lectures were very clear. Homework assignments were completed online and were rather easy. Past exams made studying for the exams a breeze as the format for each test almost always stays the same. Highly recommended.

One of the best science professors I've had yet. Chemistry is hard enough, but Casey really gives you everything you need to do well in the class. The lectures are very clear and tests are fair. I would suggest this class to anyone who needs to take it !

Dr. Casey is a good chem prof. He knows what he is doing or teaching and is not overly cruel on the exams/tests. Not much hw although he gives out practice problems to work on throughout the semester. I give him a definite TAKE HIM!

Tries to relate material to things students will be interested in. He's very knowledgeable. I was able to get an A with prior knowledge of chemistry... so I didn't even have to go to class. If I hadn't known the stuff I think his explanations would've been helpful.

Dr. Casey is a nice guy but an okay teacher. I don't think he has patience for ppl who have a hard time doing well in his class. His tests are hard b/c they're out of 200 points! One question can be worth 20 points...you must study everything, from each topic to do well on an exam. Also, when he explains stuff it's seems more confusing!

Smart Man, Hard Grading, leaves halfway during labs, expects you to have a vast knowledge of Chemistry and makes you feel dumb when asking him a question. Tests are out of 200 points each...Would honestly only recommend this class if your top notch on your chemistry skills.
