Comment:
Professor Reifler is a nice guy, but he gives way too much work. A bunch of people in my class dropped it because of the workload. Get ready for hundreds of pages of reading at a time because he puts all material on the tests. Very picky when grading essays too.

I enjoyed his teaching style very much. His lectures were typically interesting and barely needed to refer to any material to teach about it. If you do not read you will not pass this course. He gives quizzes on the reading material and tests as well. Very fair grader, but you have to work to get a decent grade in the course.

Nice professor. Can be a little snarky at times, but he is funny and always available to help students. He does give a lot of readings and you have to take notes on them to do well in the class. Quizzes are very specific, which can be difficult even if you read. Take this class if you're willing to put in a lot of time and work.

Mr. Reifler is enthusiastic and knows his subject well. Most of the lectures were interesting. (some boring) He quizzes a lot, but they are graded on a curve. He has some good stories and class videos. Over break, I saw an HBO movie on LBJ with Bryan Cranston (Breaking Bad) and it was so cool that I knew about almost all of it from this course!

Great Prof, in my opinion. He'll make you work hard, drop this class if you won't read the book or the print outs. He's old fashioned and isn't tech savvy, but he makes up for it with his enthusiasm and passion for what he's lecturing. Had this class as a 1st sem freshman and got a A- by doing the work. If you read and engage yourself you'll befine

Interesting course, pretty good prof.. Yeah he's a bit snarky, but knows his stuff, and he's funny at times. Tons of reading, but some good videos and lectures (some are not). I was interested in Vietnam and the 60's, so I like the course.I enjoyed doing the final paper on my Gramma's life

Would be a good class, but the reading material he assigns is hard to keep organized and he expects you to pay for it with cash. He also expects you to harass a old non-reletive and extract their life story for his amusement, which I think is kind of off topic since he apparently grades it based on how entertaining he thought it was O_o

Very full of himself, overly large amount of reading assigned, fancies himself a writer and as such takes full creative liscence when it comes time to grade writing assignments, lectures go on and on and class breaks never seem to be long enough FIND SOMEONE ELSE TEACHING THE COURSE YOU NEED
