Nice guy, but so unclear! Lots of writing, but wasn't always clear what we were writing about. Research methods is required for the Political Science major, so it's a necessary evil. You will bond with your classmates over the experience of the class. You'll get through it, but it won't be pretty.

Truly wants his students to succeed. Lectures are long & dry at times, but his jokes & passionate rants make them bearable. Papers are reasonable & separated enough throughout the semester. Be prepared to make your own study guide for the tests. Will not answer your emails, but is very understanding & sweet if you see him outside of class.

He is a very nice person who truly wants the best for his students. His readings, however, are a bit much Sometimes you will have at least 100 pages per night to read that don't make sense He is one of the nicest professors I have had though. Just go to his office hours he loves when you do and you will make it. Just a class you have to get through

I would rather change my major then repeat this class... I'm an A student and get C's in his class. Not a hard class either, just a ridiculous grader and gives no time to write papers.

Literally had to skip other classes to get his work done each week. Expected to read over 100 pages a week, that is heavily tested and not gone over in class. Given 4 days to write 8 page papers with heavy amounts of research and data... Worst class at Siena so far.

Currently studying for his test. The review guide is 15 pages long, single spaced, just the questions. Probably have touched upon 25% of it in class. Ridiculous class with no respect for students. Makes you read (no exaggeration) 100 pages of scholarly articles for every class but talks about his personal views for the entire class. Simply wrong.

He has so much background knowledge and personal relations to many relatable things in modern society. He gives you things to question and think about and gives you both sides of a topic. Very nice and funny! Must do the readings and always ask questions.

Many people find him boring, but honestly you get what you give in his classes. He often goes off topic, but he knows so much about political science and literature that you should still ask questions and enjoy his quirky personality. He is very sweet and willing to help you improve your grade.

Nice guy who cares about what he is teaching, however, this does not mean he is an effective professor. Class is unorganized, tests are massive and contain mostly self-taught material, and are a huge portion of your final grade. One of those classes where you learn nothing but you are stressed all the time and makes you think "I'm paying for this?"

Dr. Lombardo genuinely cares about his students and the classes he teaches. Though research isn't the most interesting class he will work with you and tell you what he wants. The workload for the class is heavy but he gives you multiple chances for revisions.

Few professors can make Methods exciting. He is a solid, helpful professor. Pick a topic that you actually care about for the project. Tests are directly from lecture, nothing tricky. I think if you offer quality participation your grade will reflect that positively.

He is a really sweet man, but takes his job way to seriously. Research methods is a really boring class but its a req. if your a poli sci major so brace yourself. There is a lot of work but if you plan ahead you'll be fine. The tests are a joke, just make sure you keep up with the readings. He really appreciated when you participate

Easy class if you show up. Very, very boring lecturer and tests are based mostly on lectures. He won't teach anything you wouldn't learn by taking a poly sci class in HS. Nice guy, but not a good teacher and can't seem to help those who struggle. If you go to class, and BS the work, you can get the A.

Horrible teacher. Expects too much for a 100 level course and is an extremely hard grader. I got A's in the rest of my classes and a D in his. He definitely has favorites. Slight accent and rambling on in class make it boring and difficult to understand.

His class is extremely boring, and he is terrible at teaching the material. He attempts to explain the material in class, but noone understands what he is saying. It is very difficult to get a decent grade on the quizes or tests. Tests are close to impossible to do well on. Basically, if you do above average work, he will give you C's
