nice guy, super smart, knows his stuff 100% but a horrible lecturer/ teacher. VERY biased. beware- once he has formed an opinion of you it'll be hard to change it. if he doesn't like you, he'll be mean. if he likes you- you're safe. lectures very unorganized & unclear, you have to do all the readings a few times yourself to get a good grade

awesome prof. he teaches the students how to read extremely difficult texts. What he says in lecture is meant to provide students with a stepping stone for forming our own understanding.

Excellent prof. You will learn the material if you approach the course with an open mind. Also, in so doing you will learn a lot about life in general and your own life in particular. Best overall experience I have ever had in university!

He will be quite helpful, and he means well, but generally he is not very good at explaining things. Granted it was Nietzsche, but still. Fairly easy marker. Not really a great lecturer, goes off on tangents a lot. Would not recommend him. The course, however, could be brilliant with the right professor.

Very very very unorganized. Rarely checks email and isn't willing to help his students out. Too bad, he's probably a nice person.

This prof is excellent! Is really helpful throughout the course. He is quite flexible in terms of deadline, as long as you tell him in advance. You can also do a rewrite if you didn't do well on your essays. Did not like the course in the beginning but ended up loving it, it was interesting.

He is an excellent professor!! He can really explain the very abstract concepts in a way that'll make you understand! Modes of reasoning is not a course that any joe blow can teach... and hes veryy good at explaining concepts and making them clear to you!

All Heidegger - his specialty. Demanding, complex material, but Mallin made it real, interesting and applicable to everyday life.
