I recently had my interview to get into the Education Program and they look at your portfolio. Mine had errors and was missing things. That is because he never helped us or explained how to do your eportfolio. We were on our own.

This man is absolutely horrible! He makes everything so difficult! The easiest things, are made to be the hardest. His difficulty affects your grade because everything is summitted online...I would suggest taking ANY other teacher rather than this one!

He is very unhelpful. refuses to answer your questions clearly and was no help with my e-portfolio. I feel that if a student has to know how to do this portfolio on the web, the teacher should know how to teach me the skills to do it. He also assigned several things that were not really checked.

He was late to class everyday and he read straight from the book and never taught us anything. He didn't answer questions that were asked, he didn't understand what we were trying to ask. He also made us write a 10 page research paper that didn't teach us anything.

My opinions on Hinton differ. Sometimes he can really teach, but sometimes he can't. Maybe he's just demonstrating different effectiveness techniques to my class. He assigns work which he rarely grades, and takes all of the big assignments up at the end of the semester. Perfect for procrastinators.

Samuel Hinton was my advisor. I never had him in class (was supposed to)...He treated me very well, he was very up front and blunt-making cry but was very honest and VERY helpful!
