I don't know why people are saying he grades unfairly. He does not have access to the name of the writer until after grading the assignments. I found the grading to be fair, and the class to be an overall positive experience, though his instructions were somewhat lacking at times.

Professor Greenberg is a great legal writing professor. My writing definitely improved throughout the year. You need to work hard in his class, and you need to show him that you are interested in improving your writing. He does not provide a lot of instruction for assignments; however, he will provide guidance when you have prepared for meetings

Extremely inconsistent grader, no discernible criteria for success. Has admitted on multiple occasions to failing to familiarize himself with legal issues before grading. Often credits significant attributions of points to his "mood" or tiredness. Completely unhelpful, not prepared for class. Rude and confrontational to the point of being unhinged.

Is very inconsistent with his "advice." He is very snarky and hard to get a clear answer from. He will not help you as a writer, only shake your confidence. He plays favorites, and if he doesn't like you there is no way you will do well. He is generally a rude and inconsiderate jerk. If you are stuck with him try to get out, or start crying now!

Tells you to do something, then takes points off when you do exactly that. Is sometimes rude when you ask for help/clarification on a paper. Useless feedback. Grades very unfairly. If he likes you, you'll get a good grade even if your paper is terrible. If he doesn't like you, you will get a mediocre grade even if your paper is really good. AVOID!
