She is literally the sweetest and cutest lady ever! As long as you take her advice on your papers seriously, you'll do well on them. She gives two extra credits and lets you redo the lowest graded paper. Would definitely take again!

Professor O'Connor is outstanding. She was inspirational and cared for everyone in my class. She's a nice, understanding woman who I'm glad to have met. However, she can be a hard grader & sometimes assign readings the night before class. Do NOT procrastinate on papers and take her feedback seriously. Be open to do new things and participate.

O'Connor is great. I thought I was gonna hate Language, Law & Ethics, but I loved it because of her. Class is usually filled with interesting discussion--no boring lectures. You have reading, a couple presentations, and a lot of short writing assignments, but it's very manageable. Take her!

Professor O'Connor was the best professor I had this semester. She gives a fair amount of work while making the students want to learn more about the essay topics. I like that the class is very free flowing and open. She always has interesting class discussions. She is super liberal btw!

Professor O'Connor is the sweetest woman ever! She gives great feedback on writings and truly helps you improve your writing skills. She has conferences with you before you turn in your paper to ensure you will get a good grade. Our entire class was sad to leave her on the last day of class. Cannot say enough great things about this woman!

One of my favorite teachers so far at JMU! She is such a sweetheart. She has a quiz every class but they're not too hard. Also a mini reading response almost every class but they help boost your grade. Four papers all semi-interesting topics. If you participate a lot in class she will love you.

I've had Professor O'Connor twice. She is a great professor, incredibly patient and understanding, and really cares about her students and their success. I learned so much from this and her WRTC322 class. She is incredibly passionate about important issues (political, social, etc) and makes writing engaging and interesting.

A paper is due almost every class. There are around 10 response papers on essays that she gives us, and 4 major papers. She grades pretty hard. You can only redo them if you get below a C. Her expectations are not clear and her grading is confusing. People who do their papers at the last minute will get better grades than you.

She's so nice and really helpful! Lots of reading, 3 essays, and eight 2 page prompts, but it's all really interesting and isn't a burden. All of writing will be read out loud, but it helps everyone get to know each other--we're all friends :) TAKE HER!
