The apple doesn't fall far from the tree in this case. Sarah's Mother, V. Watts, is the worst instructor I've ever had (she teaches in the same department). Her daughter is the second worst. Whats up with nepotism? I thought that stuff was frowned upon in academia. Heads up guys, Sarah Watts is a raging SJW feminist. Avoid her!

She's a grt.teacher and communicator - some of these ratings are way off. The reason it's challenging is b/c it takes much to learn new languages. KEY is not falling behind on homework - there's a good amount of it, but it comes at a steady pace. If you're new to Spanish, you might need to invest a total of 15 hrs/week (incl. in-class hours).

She is very tough and will make you work, but you will also learn. She is very open about her political leanings, just so you know. If you do the work, you'll make the grade, but she has no patience if you fall behind. Very business like.

Difficult in that she expects a lot out of your participation and gives a lot of homework, but the work isn't hard persay. I took 3 semesters with her and one with Nicholson, & I learned more in Watt's class in one week than I did in one semester of Nicholson's. Sra Watts is opinionated and tough but if you try, she will help you master spanish

She really is not a good teacher. Don't get me wrong she definitely knows her spanish and she is definitely proud of it. She is not willing to help you for the most part which is frustrating if you need help. She does not follow her syllabus at all. *Unless you know spanish going into the class you need to find a new teacher.

Sra Watts Has gotten a bad rep, but she really is not bad at all. She does assign a lot of homework but it is really easy and not time consuming. She is very helpful and mamkes you really understand the language. I would definitely take her again.
