Dasgupta was disrespectful and rude, he said that we were a disappointment as a class and yelled at a student for a simple question. Although he gives you questions to study for the exam his exams are unclear and his instructions are misleading. He is one of the least professional and least likable professors I have had in the last 4 years.

I've had Dasgupta a few times. I love his old school teaching methods and his interesting insights. I also LOVE that he yells at talkers, he realizes that some of us in his classes really do care and WANT to hear without being disturbed by those who don't. Dasgupta is great!

honestly the easiest course i've ever taken EVER. take this course. it's EASY. all of the test questions are given before hand, and he also answers them if you need to. no textbook, just photocopies. EASY.

I found Prof. Dasgupta's classes quite interesting. I didn't find him rude nor arrogant in the least. He expects his students to keep up with the assigned readings, and to take part in the class - if you do so, you will find his classes quite easy to follow.
