what a great guy, but what a class I must say. Don't even think about skipping cuz you just will NOT pass. He grades of 3 exams only, no use of textbook. LISTEN PEOPLE you really need to do your work in order to pass this class. The multiple choices on the exams are very tricky, so study a million times before the exams and you'll pass!

Prof Brown has a clear cut class. You don't use the textbook & there are 3 exams that are all lecture based. He always will answer questions & his lectures are very clear and well organized w/ great examples. He is always willing to meet to go over exams & is speedy with grading (usually has scores posted the next day). same goes for S&P PSY361

He uses a lot of examples of experiments that pertain to the subject matter in class lectures. He does not require a book which makes it important to not miss any classes. I found it helpful to record his classes to listen to before exams and also took notes in class. He has 3 exams which are not cumulative. I look forward to taking S&P with him!

Dr. Brown is a fantastic professor. I had him for 2 classes this semester and it was great. Definitely need to attend classes as the textbooks aren't used. He's very clear and concise with good examples and he keeps it a fun class! Definitely recommend him :)

Professor Brown does not require you to be in class but if you have any intention on passing you better be there. He DOES NOT use his text book at all so don't bother buying it. (have not opened mine once all semester) and he is CLEAR, FAIR AND EASY TO LISTEN TO. He provides great examples and works hard to help his students succeed!

A lot of people have a hard time with this class but if you don't skip and take extensive notes it's not bad. Don't even bother buying the textbook, it will not help you at all which makes attending class sort of important as your entire grade will be based on 3 multiple choice exams. Interesting lectures, very helpful to talk to outside of class

Cognitive Psychology. Great guy, straightforward lectures that were representative of the exams...Don't skip too many classes because your entire grade is based on 3 exams based on lectures and the book WILL NOT HELP YOU. Seriously, don't even buy the book. Brown also teaches S&P, I wouldn't recommend taking them at the same time like I did.

Love, love, love! He's a funny guy and he really tries to keep his classes interesting. Exams are a little tricky, so study hard. Don't buy the book. I haven't opened mine--the exams only cover his notes so have a friend in there if you have to miss class.

Doc Brown was one of the best professors I've had. He makes it very succinct to learn and memorize the material and I see no reason why anyone would have difficulties in his class if they take notes. Scott is also very friendly and accessable for students. He's been my adviser as an undergrad and has helped me get into a graduates level program.

He gives really great lectures that are engaging and interesting but he doesn't use the text as much as most students would like. This makes it a little hard to study for exams. Otherwise, he is helpful and accommodating.

You dont need the book... I got an A and didn't even buy the book. Just take really good notes and try not to miss any classes.

He's the sweetest guy ever! And his lectures are so organized, you'd have to try not to follow his train of thought. And if people are confused, he gladly answers questions, and doesn't hesitate to admit if he doesn't know something. One of the best professors of all time

Really great at what he does. Not only is he effective at getting you to understand the information, he is genuinely excited about the subject matter. Studying was hard and required you to go to EVERY class. Book use was minimal. Someone with a Ph.D who SHOULD be teaching. Can't say enough nice things.

He's a great teacher! A LOT of material is covered in class, so studying for tests is a little scary, but if you put in the time, you should be fine. He uses many examples in class and is very willing to help you outside of class. S&P is def. a little harder than Cog. but it is still manageable. I would say he's one of the best in psych. dept.

OK so I failed Cog. Psy twice! However, he is such a nice person,he always agreed to help me out go over old exams etc.So I still like him. So his Cog Psy class is a bit tough. I took another class w/him it was fine. I liked his stories, he encourages participation, and he likes BATS :)Overall good professor.

Brown was my favorite teacher in the psych department and I can't really understand the issues other people have with him here. He presents the material (that I actually find interesting) in the most easy and straightforward manner so that it's very easy to get an A if you simply take time to study your class notes. He's very openminded and kind.
