He's an incredible guy. I've had a tough semester, and he was so able to help and make sure that I could do the best I can. The material is not brutally difficult, but by attending class, most students should be able to get between a C+ and a B.

The midterm and final sucked. As a guy, this professor is awesome, but his teaching lacks structure. A quote for the project: "do whatever you want".

Exams are confusing and hard, Final especially. Professor isn't very clear and/or thorough. Still using QGIS in class instead of a software that is actually used with public and private companies

as a subject GIS is pretty hard but scott works with you and is extreamly helpful, paitent and kind. recomend taking geogmatics/cartography before if possible. if you show up and put in your effort no matter how bad you are he will pass you.

Well, it wasn't until the project that GIS actually made sense. If you have a chance take 205 before 204!!! It will save you much grief, and Scott won't be as confusing. I did learn a lot, but it was mostly self taught. A Nice Guy, but unclear.
