A lot of the papers he assigned as readings were poor choices that did not represent up to date understandings of the issues they discussed. And while well meaning, I found his take on native issues to be incredibly problematic at best. But that's NREM in BC for you.

Doesn't know much about operational silviculture in BC. Knows even less about harvesting. Poor attitude. Talks about students behind their backs to the rest of the class. Likes to embarrass people. The slowest marker ever. Has an agenda. Many forestry students will not be competent to preform their jobs because of Scott.

Good prof. Kind of harsh when marking my papers compared to Darwyn Coxson. He will be a good prof. He is kind of a dweeb but what plant prof isn't. Darwyn, Scott, Hugue, etc.

Scott is a great proff and a great guy, easy to talk to and always helpful, knows his stuff and wants you to learn. A little quirky but who dosen't like that? I love the 'class photo album' great idea on his part and it's nice when he can talk to you by name. G
