I have learned nothing from Scott. He is disorganized and incoherent. His lectures are a waste of time. This course is extremely left leaning and accepts opinions as facts. Waste of money.

Not a fan of his lecture style. At all. We will be learning things from week 4 in week 8 and be talking about screenings from weeks prior and that aren't related to the lecture he is teaching. I'm not sure how he organizes his content but it can be so confusing and it's hard to apply/fully understand. Content would be interesting if applied better.

Comment:

Most university teachers will simply go through lecture slides and have you memorize overly-complex terms that you'll never actually use in real life. Instead, Scott actually teaches you and gives you a far better understanding of what he is teaching! For FILM1F94, prepare to do A LOT of writing! Simply watching movies on Netflix won't do!

Fantastic. Completely made me switch my minor. I am majoring in women and gender studies and just needed to full a spot so took this random course. Then I am now changing my minor of sociology to popular culture. He is BRILLIANT. best prof at brock. we need more of him around!!!

I have a love/hate with Scotty H. He's clearly very intelligent and makes very interesting points but I find his lectures hard to follow, especially when I look back on my notes to study. Plus his exams are the worst - so much writing I feel like my hand is going to fall off.

Quite possibly the best professor in existence, his lectures, as a collective whole, can be likened to a Tarantino film. They have no clearly demarcated beginning middle or end, and contain just enough information (or lack of it) to keep you intrigued. Scott Henderson can take the most dry subject matter and after spending ten minutes with him you're convinced it's the only thing you want to persue for the rest of your life. Every class with him is an experience. I would pay half my monthly income to go to any of his lectures. Scott Henderson is, without doubt, the greatest professor alive.
