Comment:

He writes class notes as he goes, but he provides useful visuals and gives real life, relatable examples. He is extremely knowledgeable, especially on the topic of this class (public opinion). He can be a smart-aleck, but if that fits your sense of humor, it makes the class more enjoyable. Tests will be all essay questions.

Dr. Huffmon, came across as entitled and cursed at students multiple times. He is very intelligent so for a beginner level class it was very hard to understand him at times. He writes all of his notes and they are unorganized and very sloppy. He however, gives 3 papers which do help your grade tremendously.

His notes are confusing because he writes them as he talks. It's important that you do the assigned readings and listen while he lectures because they are on the test. His test are pretty simple if you study and his study guides are very helpful.

Dr. Huffmon is a fair grader, and probably one of the smartest people I've ever come across. He expects the best from students, as this is college. I'm terrible at math, so this class was no walk in the park. Yet he still made the class interesting for me. Do well on the annotated bib and other projects, and study hard for test and you'll do okay

Just terrible. All tests are essays (two out of class, one in class). The topics for the essays are extremely broad but he is looking for specific things. Either be a master in political science or drop the course. Takes FOREVER to hand back tests (the only two we had). Nice guy, terrible professor & teaching methods (or lack there of).

Dr. Huffmon is AWESOME! He is super funny and always relates his lessons to his life experiences (which are really interesting, ex: protesting a KKK rally). He assigns readings almost every class and then lectures on them the next class. As long as you understand the readings the lectures are most of the tests. Do the study guides though!

He is really nice, and give study guides for every test, he tells interesting stories in class to relate to the topics he is covering, and he really knows what he is talking about. He also gives extra credit and doesn't take attendance, but he is EXTREMELY loud when he talks, don't sit near the front.

I took this man for every class offered because he is that incredible. He's a great mentor, friend, and professor. He challenges you, but understands that sometimes you just don't get stuff. He works with you if he knows that you are really trying, and encourages you not to give up. Now that I graduated from WU, I miss the good times I had.
