I was in this class for a day thinking it was going to be an entry level French. I got To grade 11 French (Been away from French for a bit) if you remember or have a fresh mind on French this is great. If your away or don't know the transition words by heart I would consider frn103 she is very friendly but lacks patients with struggling students.

I never dreaded going to Heather's class and ended up having a pretty decent understanding of the course material. My two complaints are that some of her exam questions (multiple choice mainly) were a little subjective and that the assignments were repetitive. However, the class pays off if you put in the work. (P.S. buy the textbook second-hand)

An ok prof, lectures were scattered which made it difficult to stay on top of things, took a while to get assignments back. Often the questions on her multiple choice exams had more than one appropriate answer which is confusing.

An amazing teacher for French 106! She is extremely helpful, and explains the concepts we are working with very well in class, but there are things you will have to do outside as well. Lots of homework, but it really helps applying the grammar. This course is extremely grammar-centered, but Prof. Wagg explains it all clearly. Quizzes are helpful.

J'aime Heather! She is patient and willing to re-explain grammatical concepts. She gives many quizzes (and make-up quizzes) so you know how you're doing. She is prompt with returning homework and marked exams. Like all language classes - be prepared to practice outside of class.

Heather is an amazing professor. She is a little bit eccentric, but she lays out grammatical concepts in a very clear manner. In my class, she really wanted everyone to succeed so she would often have makeup quizzes and tests. near the end of the semester, we ended up having almost daily quizzes. I found this very helpful as it solidified concepts.

Heather is a great prof! She takes the time to explain grammar and spelling especially if a student needs clarification. She is always willing to help! Her tests are easy and lets you redo homework if it isn't done right. She calls on people in class but doesn't care if you are right and won't embarrass you if you are wrong. Would highly recommend!

I really liked Heather, she was a fun class. She was extremely clear about what materials would be tested and she always spent a more than adequate amount of time explaining concepts. Also, if the entire class did poorly on a test, she would find ways of doing makeup tests. I wish the class focused a little more on spoken French though.

Easy prof, especially if you have prior experience in French. My only complaint is that she focused mainly on written French and almost no one in my class could speak a proper sentence by the end of the term. Also doesn't correct you when you make an oral mistake.

Very nice lady, willing to help. Lets you redo assignments and takes your higher mark. Only problem is french is her second language, had a few questions that were debatable if asked by a native french speaker. Very fair prof. I got a good mark in the class without trying THAT hard.

She's a very nice lady, but she seemed to forget the class was called "Beginning French I", not French Immersion. She sped through the material and focused more on grammar tidbits than anything and skated over vocabulary or anything else really important. I recommend her for maybe a more advanced class, but not for a beginner.

Yes, she's enthusiastic and has good intentions. But she's SO disorganized that it's impossible to follow her lectures and study for her exams. Don't take her class unless you're already very strong in French.

She is nice but very disorganized and scatterbrained. Half the time people have know idea what she is teaching because she jumps around all the time. I wouldn't recommend others taking this proff.
