Just do the homework and follow the instructions and you should get 100s on all the homework's. Exams are pretty fair and and you can find the answers online or in the textbook. Not hard to pass

Took ers 103 online. Homeworks were routine due every Sunday and were always 100s if you followed instructions. Tests were a bit difficult if you didnt read book, or lecture slides, but still easy to pass without. Offers 50/1000 points for extra credit assignments which take maybe 30 minutes each.

This class was a bit tougher than the other comments let on. I took the online May term, and the only grades were weekly writing posts (400 points total) and 3 exams (600 points total). Exam questions are extremely specific so really read the textbook chapters. Also extra credit up to 50 points. Decent class but you better read!!! (Doesn't do +/-)

I took this class online for a May term. Easy A with little work. Don't buy the book, he posts lecture notes online that do just fine for the writing portion of the class. His exam questions and answers are available online.

Easiest A imaginable. Just do the weekly posts and show up to class if you need extra credit. Material covered was very basic and exams were open book. Johnson was very knowledgable and seemed like a reasonable guy.

Easy Gen Ed. 2, 200 word posts due per week over readings. Reading not necessary to do posts, go to chapter summary and basically copy from there. Tests are a breeze. Copy and paste the questions into google and you'll find them. Take online, if you don't wouldn't recommend going to class unless you want extra credit. Got A in class with no problem

(Online) Easy class. Requires 2 200 word posts per week summarizing the week's chapters. If you do them, you basically get full credit. Exams are open book. Extra credit for summarizing book chapters not covered in the course. Again, you do it and you will get the credit. Great class to meet a gen ed requirement.

Great guy, really interesting person, mean well. Semester long project is kind of a pain, but you learn allot. Very clear about test subjects, but grading seems fairly arbitrary. Teaches more of a dynamics or mechanisms class than a traditional structures class. Very well respected in his field, on the cutting edge of scientific research.

(Online) Relatively easy course, but VERY specific on exams. Good to fill the Gen Ed., but you don't skate through.

What an awesome class! It is well laid out and so easy to follow plus no lectures to listen to--it doesn't get any better than this! Read the textbook and carefully review his study guide. What a great way for anyone to meet a Gen Ed requirement! Thanks, Dr. Johnson! :)

A lot of people take this class to get an easy A on a gen. ed. requirement. Anyone can get an A, but this class involves a lot of tedious work. Prof. Johnson is a really nice guy! For someone like me who is not interested in geology at all, it really wasn't a bad class!
