I hated the class. It wasn't hard, just required a lot of reading and the text was SO boring. Grades based on several discussion posts per week and open book midterm and final. Even after reading the text, the tests took me approx 4 hours each. He also bombards you with a million notifications and will beat his grading policies into your head.

Professor Lukas is very knowledgeable and his class is easy to follow and understand. The weekly discussions are always interesting. He only does a midterm and final exam but they cover all the materials learned so far, so make sure to read, since answers are in the text. I now love anthropology because of him. He's really nice too.

Easy A! Just do the weekly assignments and take the midterm and final exam and you're gold. He is really nice, but strict to his grading criteria. No extra credit or makeups. Just read weekly and you'll be sure to get an A. Very interesting class.

Talked about snowglobe half the time and its impact on SLT. He likes to hear what you have to say, but be prepared to debate with classmates. Only work I really did was memorize vocabulary but printed flashcards offline. Easy Peasy. like stated, he tells you what will be on the test/quiz... you just have to memorize the answers!

Great teacher. If you show up and participate, it is hard to fail the class. No homework, just quiz's and tests. He tells you what is going to be on the tests. He is interesting and up-to-date in todays culture.

Took his Soc 101 class and his intro to religion class online. Both classes required minimal effort to receive a decent grade. It was all oriented around discussion and you could write about whatever interested you, as long as you could connect it.

i took three classes from him, and enjoyed all of them. you won't have to really read the textbooks as long as you pay attention and participate during discussion. the midterms/finals are in essay form - you can write just about anything as long as you manage to somehow make a connection to the general idea. class is all discussion w/ a few videos.

Scott is one of the most provacative, and passionate instructors I have had in my student career. Not only is he well versed in the Social Sciences and their histories, he also maintains a healthy connection to the now. At times he plays the activist and makes his views apparrent, he is also open to other ways of thinking.I've learned alot from him.

I absolutely adore Scott. He is a great teacher and very passionate, which is rare because how can someone be passionate about social sciences, but he is, so class is easier to go to. he's a great guy and really challenges you to think for yourself. He is brilliant and i have a huge crush on him!

I think Dr. Scott Lukas is one of the best professors at LTCC. He allows students to explore the subject and is great at thought provoking discussions. He hears all points, and I have never heard him dismiss a students comments or thoughts. If you are a person not open to debate or thinking in a new way, or thinking for your self, his classes are not for you. Those who wish to learn will love his classes.

Scott is an AWESOME teacher. YES, he makes you think for yourself, but as long as you can have some independent thought, the classes are great. Scott is a very animated teacher when he's talking about subjects he's interested in, and he's always curious about the students' point of view. I have always found him to be a fair and very outgoing teacher, who was always willing to answer any questions I might have.

He is so mean, guys. Shoot, he grades so hard, but mostly I think it's based on whether or not he likes you. He doesn't like to hear any extremist views or any republican views, which both really should be seen as valid. Not understanding. Often asks questions, because he genuinely does not understand what you are saying. If you tell him that small local business economy is harmed by globalization in a report, for example, he's going to say, "I don't think you are right." Not why. Just &quo

His classes are easy, the tests are easy, the projects are based on what you want to do, relating to the class. If you find his classes hard, then you rely on not having to think for yourself. his classes require thinking. you should be willing to educate yourself. that's what college is about.

Dr. Lukas is a very nice professor, i felt very good to take his class, he would show you want he wanted you to see, and you have to see in your own eyes, it really depends on yourself of how much you want to learn. it is like he lead you to a door way, and you just need to find your own key.
