WORST TEACHER EVER. Never reply to emails. Barely ever showed up and in the little of the semester she made the class online because she didn't want to show up again.

Comment:

Dr. Corsianos is an incredibly intelligent and successful woman. Her research is impressive and she incorporates it into her lectures. There are a lot of notes in her class so although attendance isn't mandatory, you should go. Seriously. Go. Her tests can be challenging but study and you should be fine. I'm taking her again currently and love it.

I LOVED this class. I took it completely online and it was an extremely accelerated class (only 3 weeks) so there was a lot of work but it was extremely interesting. . As long as you take notes on the lectures she provides, you will be fine. I didn't have either of the books & I finished the course with a 97%. This is an extremely interesting class

It is impossible to keep up with her during lecture. She flies through her powerpoint's. First 3 exams were multiple choice, T/F and 2-3 essay questions, no study guide. Final exam is 3 essay questions, she's gives you a study guide with 6 essay questions and chooses 3 of them. 6-8 pg paper at the end of the semester.

There are weekly discussions you participate in. There were 4-5 exams. They were extremely difficult and specific and I studied for them. Even with them being online it was still hard. Study very hard for them. I took this as an accelerated course (7 weeks long) so that may have contributed to its difficulty. You need the book.

She's very organized and knows exactly what she wants from you (and lets you know). She's really nice and she wants you to pass, even if she seems a little unapproachable at first. Her tests (4) are multiple choice and can be very specific. I'd say the class is on the harder side but her grading scale makes up for it!

This was a very interesting class. Definitely recommend to anyone who wants their eyes opened. This class made me think about things I had never thought about before. And the essay exams were fair.

Took her online and she had no interaction with the class in discussions or through email. Was not an easy professor to communicate with. She was not understanding or helpful. Hard grader. Tests were essay and she was not clear on what she wanted.

I would not rate her the best when it came to this course. The material was hard to study from (mostly in-class notes), and hardly from the three textbooks we had to buy. Definitely has some feminist views that show in lectures, however, she did let students express their opinion. Overall, I would say the course was average.

Dr. Corsianos is an amazing, very intelligent, enthusiastic instructor. Grad class with her is solely discussion on reading, and you definitely learn a lot. She does have some weighty papers and presentations, but she always makes you feel it is doable. HIGHLY recommend.

She doesn't take her time going over slides and power points and most of her power points does not cover whats on the exams or what is in the book. Only had 4 exams and 2 papers, and she does not give out homework. On the other hand we did have a lot of interesting topics and discussions.

I took her class online and it was a decent course. She was well organized, and I knew what was expected of me. She stuck to the syllabus and the tests were challenging but she didn't throw in things that side blinded me. She didn't communicate much with everyone, and it wasn't always clear why I got things wrong on tests but she was good overall.
