I know a lot of people do not like Prof Miller. I didn't either until I called him out in lab one day. I simply told him that I didn't want his help because he could be condescending and kind of a ****. He actually cared about my opinion and talked to me about it. He was very understanding and helpful from that point on.

Professor Miller really knows his stuff. He is very helpful, both in class and during office hours. He helps you out by using clickers during class to answer questions (which really help your grade), and he drops your lowest quiz. Reading the online lessons before class is very helpful. He really makes the class interesting. No textbook needed.

I took this class as a web course and it was ridiculously difficult. The slides used were not at all helpful for completing the homework or the quizzes, and the tests weren't any better. He tries to make the class interesting by using videos made with his TA but they are just corny, and don't help at all. DON'T TAKE THE CLASS!!!

WORST ONLINE CLASS! The professor will not let you schedule conflict exams for university approved excuses unless you miss more than one. Projects take forever to grade and tests are impossible.

DO NOT TAKT THIS CLASS! I did everything we were suppose to and attended probably 90% of the classes and still did horrible. He's not a bad guy but the stuff in class is not always on the tests. The review guides hurt you instead of help you and the final, which is a third of your grade, isn't general concepts or things he emphasized/said in class.

Scott miller definitely knows his astronomy and is willing to help anyone who asks for it. His tests are hard and this is not an easy A but my friend and I both saw a 10% increase in our grades after we went through and answered the online lesson questions in preparation for the tests. You will need to work for this class!O and dont buy the book.

Don't take this class if you think it's going to be an easy gen ed. the teacher isnt as bad as everyone says, hes actually really nice and if you go to his office hours the week of the tests youll do fine. he drops your lowest test grade, and there webquizzes which you can do well on. not an easy a, but its possible.

I found this class difficult because I have little science/math ability, but Prof Miller definitely has passion for Astronomy and from what i hear, is more than willing to clarify during office hours.

Expensive course, the total cost adds up to about $100 if you get everything. He will tell you not to buy the book, but if you want to pass this course buy it. Astronomy is not a boring, nor complicated subject, if you want to get the most out of it pick a different teacher. His lectures are boring, and the exams are some what difficult

Wayy to hard for a Gen-Ed 001 level class. Decent teacher but doesn't explain things and trys to make you answer your own questions which is tedious and futile. Take Mercades Richards instead.

Take it from me, the only plausible person writing here, this class is not easy. Unless you're interested in astro, do not take this class. For an intro level class as a gen ed, it was a terrible choice on my part. Tests are difficult and activities done in class he does not even go over. He knows what he's talking about, but it's a lot of work to
