Comment:

Dr. Campos demonstrated poor teaching ability. Attending her lectures weren't helpful, the information were disorganized, the way that she conducting the information did not following a logic manner. In order to achieve a good grade and study different lab techniques, you'd better to study all the lecture slides on your own again.

Dr. Campos is very smart and care the student a lot. But her lecture is so hard, sometime is hard to follow. And the test materials is killing me, if you want to get the higher mark, I will not recommend you to take it. And the labs are interesting, but you need to do a lot of work. Overall, I do not really like this course.

Really interesting class and labs. It helps to read the textbook for clarification but she only tests on topics discussed in class. She is a really cute lady too. Very approachable.

Comment:

Very smart instructor, very passionate about genetics however her teaching method isn't the best. Very confusing lectures. Notes are merely textbook diagrams with little explanations and captions. You must read the textbook to supplement her notes and lecture.

Her notes-ie. figures from text- are supposed to help you understand what she's saying, don't rely on them to study. Make your own notes. You should read/skim the text before class, it makes the class infinitely more useful. Very nice lady, available to help you.

She's difficult to understand at times. She's quite intelligent but her ability to teach is lacking. I relied largely on the text book, and her "notes" are simply text figures without much elaboration. I would dread having her as a prof again.

I felt that though Dr. Campos is intelligent and interested in genetics and biology, she isnt a very good lecturer. She was often unclear and off the topic and I often left lecture hoping that the textbook would be able to explain things better. She was, however, willing to help students.

I never heard a prof tell me "... I can't really explain this well..." then give a tired look and move on with the lecture before I had Campos as a prof. Should not be teaching this class as it is evident she has no joy for teaching.

You can tell she's really smart, knows what she's talking about, and cares about us learning. BUT she's hard to understand, talks fast, and jumps all over the place. I feel sorry for her though, barely 1/4 of the class attends now. They're missing out.
