Scott is an amazing professor. By far my favorite teacher in UMD's EE department. If you go to class you will learn a lot from Scott. He is a very caring professor and wants the best for all his students.

Scott is a great teacher. One of the few absolutely normal professors you will have in college. He does not come across as an academician as do so many professors. If you have the opportunity, take one of his classes. You will not regret it. He goes a little slow and has a pretty poor command of his electronic notebook but he gets through it.

Awesome teacher, very laid back. One of the professors that WANT to help you if you don't understand something, even if it will take a long time for you to understand. If lectures are tough to follow, go to his office hours and he will re-teach it to you if you need it.

This class was not particularly hard. A lot of MIE students have to take it so he makes it easy for them. Not only did I learn a lot from this course, but I have gone back to Scott for almost every other class and he has helped. I have him for senior design now and power systems in the spring. By far the best 1315 and 2006 teacher ECE has.

S. Norr is the best professor I've had so far. He explains material extremely well and is a very down to earth guy. Unlike some professors he doesn't have an attitude that he is better than everyone. I like how he uses a blackboard to teach, rather than some professors who read their presentations word for word which they copied from the textbook.
