He gives out hours of homework every night, and none of it shows up on the tests. my class normally had an average of 45% for tests, meaning you would need a 95% on the homework to pass. He has a good attitude and keeps things interesting, but is very tough. Invest in a chegg account or you won't be able to take other classes.

Every exam you have, you have to do a group problem. I took this class in the spring semester, and we did group labs every day in class. There is also "circle time" where you get in a circle to discuss physics. There's also quite a bit of homework that he gives out, make sure you do it, it's worth most of your grade. If you don't, you won't pass.

Great when he actually explains stuff! Tells students that he is the 'last resort' if you need help, discourages students from getting help. Exams are NOT AT ALL a representation of material in class. Sarcastic and rude. he puts problems on the exams that are unsolvable (he even says beforehand that noone will get it right)

Professor Schultz was a very good instructor if you gave the time to understand the material and do your homework. The labs tended to be slightly confusing, but he always gave help so that you could understand the material. Plan to spend some time with the homework.

The man knows physics and has interesting ways to relate it to class; but he is popous and arrogant. He doesn't use enough class time teaching the material that will make you successfull. And will tell you not to take notes but it will be in the homework.

Nice guy, loves to teach, however way too much homework and way too tough tests. If you just want to pass and move on don't take him. If you love math and want a challenge then take him.

He was pretty enthusiastic about teaching the course. He would slow things down for people who weren't catching on and that kind of put the class behind, but he was helpful and nice.

He is completely opposite of Goodson (avoid him) in that he is MUCH better! His tests are hard but he cares and will help you if you ask.

A good Professor that explains things well and will help you if you need it but won't just give you the answer. The homework and tests are challenging but, can be done if you take the time for it.

Very clear and uses examples that make things easy to understand. The homework seems like it's too much but it's totally worth it and helps the grade in the end if you do all of it on time. Just wish I could take him for my next physics class.

Cool dude. LOVES his physics. Really enjoys teaching. Kind to all students. Not intimidating. Homework can be difficult (and don't get behind) but if you really understand how you did the homework, the tests will be easier, and you will do well. Very tough subject...he understands, so he'll occasionally throw in a little extra credit.

Gave lots of example problems, made class creative and fun with labs and funny examples. Tests are hard, but you are given the formulas and can use notes and book on final. I would recommend not to get the book cuz you dont use it. Not bad to look at either ;-) Very nice guy. Will help you before and after class if needed. Great guy.

His class helped a lot! Be prepared to spend hours studying though. Be on time to class too! He's very strict about that. This class helped a lot for PHY 211...I couldn't have made it through PHY211 without Shultz's PHY 111. Don't take Goodson!

online homework is very easy. gives several tries to get it right and relates to questions in text as a reference. need to memorize formulas. there is no substitute. very helpful too.

A lot of studying/homework required (Averaged 3 hours/night). Sometimes he will assign homework and then the next day in class reveal some key concept or formula you needed to do that homework(Very Frustrating). Otherwise a good teacher.
