He is so smart and experienced. Really knows his stuff about his field and is full of personal examples and stories, this really makes his class interesting. He was by far my favorite professor ever. Also so so funny.

I took Intro to Psychology with Prof. Stehouwer, and all our tests were take home, open book, and open note, including our final exam. He's a funny guy and his lectures are full of interesting stories. Just don't fall asleep in his class, or you'll never hear the end of it.

I love this professor- he is goofy and funny as well as sarcastic. His puns are amazing! He is a bit of a tough grader and can throw pop quizzes at you but he often puts the quizzes up on Moodle the night before. His stories and personality make the class while worth taking and it is a really interesting subject too! Win Win!

This professor is fantastic. You are pretty much guaranteed an A and he makes the lectures interesting with his stories and sense of humor. Tests are easy and no cumulative final. Also, if you're a graduating senior, you don't have to take the final if you're happy with your grade! Definitely would recommend.

Stehouwer is a super funny/crazy prof. Definitely keeps class interesting. His tests are incredibly easy and only over his lectures in class. So if you show up and take good notes you'll get an A. He gives pop quizzes on the case studies but they are super easy and he'll occasionally put them up on Moodle the night before so make sure to check!

Really charismatic and loud and funny. Sometimes he jokes to the point of not actually getting the material across. But for the most part really great. Tells tons of stories, at least 4 a class period, that usually help with understanding his concepts. If you're not in the mood for his attitude, it can be irritating, but great otherwise.

No need for book, pay attention in class. Plays favorites and he'll tell you that. Knowledgeable about subject. Hilarious sense of humor. Made me laugh every class. Wish i could sit in class and not take notes so i could just listen and enjoy. Prof of the year. Enough Said.

One of my favorite profs here, its no wonder he won Prof of the Year this year. tests are straight off of his notes, no homework, study an hour before each test and you'll be fine, Stehouwer is hilarious and very knowledgable, I definitely learned a lot and loved the class

Professor Stehouwer is a boss!He deserved to get professor of the year. He gives you cheat notes to structure his lecture. He is hilarious and has great life examples. Interesting class and you dont not have to read the textbook at all. And still you learn a lot. My favorite prof so far. Remember to smile while you sneeze!

Yes. He's awesome. He might annoy you a bit at first because he definitely loves to hear himself talk, but you'll get used to it and come to love him. Tons of examples from his life that make class really interesting. I took the honors course and i would recommend it for everyone in the world. I looked forward to every class.

Stehouwer was just voted professor of the year at Calvin College. He is the best. Not the easiest tests ever (which count for a combined 80% of your grade), but I learned a lot. Very engaging, and keeps things light with his fantastic sense of humor.

Prof Stehouwer is a great prof! He really cares about his students and doesnt make the class any harder than it should be. He is really funny and is great at engaging his students. His exams are really easy if you take good notes and study them. They are all multiple choice. 3 exams and one paper are the only requirements

Professor Stehouwer is the best psychology professor I have ever had. He has notes that go along with his lectures and cheat notes. He is willing to engage with his students and tells very interesting stories that go along with the material. If you can definitely try to take him. His tests are all about the lectures Take good notes on everything .
